For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in New Brighton for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local New Brighton Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving New Brighton sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hello Pet Parents.
My name is Shannon. I'm an animal lover and mom to 3 cats; Fred, George, and Ginny; all Orange tabbys named after famous characters (any guesses? ).
Our family lost our beloved Gryffin, a black Labrador, earlier this year and we are missing the presence of having a pup in the house but not ready, or able, to get a dog of our own.
I would enjoy helping families out by offering to watch your baby while you're traveling, at an event, or just wanting to have a day to yourself.
I love and I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes...bring on the drool. Our home is close to Fish Creek park and we have a fully fenced yard with green space.
As said, I have cats whom are comfortable with dogs except Ginny who will politely excuse herself and hide under the bed.
I will only accept dogs whom are vaccinated. Dogs will only be taken out on a lead with ID tags. Safety is important. ‍🦺
If you have any further questions, I'd be more than happy to chat and/or meet with you.
Looking forward to hearing from you and having a doggy visitor in the house again,

Shannon

Bonjour!
I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by dogs, we had three English Setters as our family dogs back in France. They weren't just pets; they were my childhood companions and my shadow. Living in Calgary for work is a great adventure, but coming home to a quiet house is what I find the hardest. I truly miss the energy, the personality, and the bond you only get with a dog.
Having raised three Setters from pups to seniors, I’m very comfortable with the 'real' side of dog care. I know how to handle high-energy breeds, dogs who follow their nose, or those who just need a patient friend. I am also a runner and would be more than happy to go for a run with your dog if they need to burn off extra energy!
My Approach & Reliability:I take a very calm and observant approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs; I believe in letting them come to me at their own pace to build real trust. Having managed senior dogs, I am experienced in administering oral medications and strictly following medical or dietary routines. In case of an emergency, I am quick to react, highly organized, and will immediately contact you and your preferred vet while ensuring the dog stays calm.
House-Sitting & Extra Care: My current apartment is a bit too small to host dogs comfortably, but I am more than happy to do house-sitting at your place! As a 'French touch', if you’re okay with it, I can even prepare a typical French "Petit Pot-au-Feu" for your dog (a healthy slow-cooked mix of lean meat and carrots) to make them feel extra loved while you're away.I’ll treat your dog with the same care and love I gave my own family dogs back home. Based in the Beltline. I strictly accept bookings within a 5-7km radius to ensure I can provide the best care for your pets while balancing my work schedule. Thank you for understanding!
A bientôt!!!

Animals have always been a big part of my life, and my love for pets is what motivated me to become a pet sitter. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident and at ease when they leave their furry family members in someone else’s care. For me, pet sitting is not just about feeding or walking—it’s about giving pets the love, comfort, and attention they deserve while their families are away.
I have previous experience caring for cats, from playful kittens to senior cats who need a little extra patience. Friends and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I truly enjoy forming a bond with every animal I meet. I also understand the importance of routines, exercise, and providing a safe environment.
I only do home visit services.Whether it’s cuddles, playtime,or long walks, I look forward to keeping your pet happy and loved while you’re away.

I'm Diane, living near downtown Calgary. I have a really good instinct with animals in general and took care of the cats in my family : we had 2 ! Lois and Eva for 10 years but I sadly left them in south of France where I come from. So I adopted Ninja, an adorable black kittie who would love some conpany.
My favorites games with them : pickaboo, chase me chase you. I have a lot of love to give to animals, and my dream would be to have my own place and to do cat yoga workshops!!
Be assured that I will give love, attention to your cat(s), and will have an immense pleasure to play with them and will report to you any problem I observe.
Ninja is a very sociable cat, who cries on the balcony when he does see other cats. I know he would love a little brother or a little sister but I can't for now. I already dis some playdates with the cat of a friend and Ninja adapted very quickly. If your cat is a bit shy and afraid, might not be a good match as Ninja will try to play.
I work from home so I will be there most of the time to keep an eye on the cats.
Message me if you want me to take care of your cat for a few days!!
