For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Port Moody for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Port Moody Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Port Moody sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I live with my husband and our 10-year-old dachshund, Mina, and dogs have always been a big part of my life. I’ve cared for pets from puppies to seniors, so I’m confident and comfortable handling dogs in all stages. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from the joy of giving dogs a safe, loving space and helping their owners feel completely at ease while they are away.
I work from home full-time, which means your dog will never be left without supervision or attention. Mina is affectionate, curious, and vocal, and although she can be a little shy at first, she enjoys having a calm friend to keep her company. For everyone’s comfort, I accept only one dog at a time, ensuring a peaceful, stress-free environment.
I welcome only vaccinated pets, and I always follow the dog’s usual routine—feeding schedule, potty breaks, brushing teeth, playtime, and any special needs. On rainy or very cold days, we stay cozy indoors, and the dogs enjoy potty breaks and ball games on our large, safe balcony.
My goal is simple: to make your dog feel safe, happy, and truly at home, so you can relax knowing they are in caring hands.

As a young professional and a lifelong pet lover myself, I have shared my home with a dog, a cat, 3 hamsters, and a turtle for many years. I also have hands-on experience caring for other people's furry friends, including small to large dogs, cats, and even hamsters!
New to the country, I wish to continue caring for other's pets just like I would to my own. I provide attentive, loving pet sitting tailored to the pet's unique personality and needs. Whether it's playtime, cuddles, basic grooming, a cozy nap, or even providing medication, I ensure your pet feels safe and cherished. My care for pets shines through every walk or hike, treat, meal prep, and belly rub. I can also provide real-time live updates or prompt message updates to deliver a peace of mind when you are away.
Trust me to treat your pets like family, to shower your furry pals with fun and devotion. Feel free to contact me and we can chat about how I can keep your furry companion happy, healthy, and have a paw-some adventure with me!

My love for dogs began in Colombia, where I proudly became a dog mom and discovered the joy, responsibility, and unconditional love they bring into our lives. Caring for my own pets taught me patience, empathy, and how to build strong bonds through both affection and clear guidance. When I moved to Canada, this passion grew even more as I began looking after many dogs at once, making sure each one felt safe, happy, and part of a loving environment. I also enjoy training and can be firm when needed, always combining discipline with kindness, because I believe dogs thrive when they feel both loved and guided. As a mother of two children, safety is very important to me, so I prefer to care for pets that are fully vaccinated. You can trust that your pet will be in the best hands—because with me, they will always be part of my family.

I love animals very much and miss them very much / I love to cuddle, play and take care of them / I will take care of your pet with joy and care / my love will last forever / usually everyone who knows me brings their babies again and again / you can also come and meet me and see in what conditions your baby will live / My story of love for animals is very simple, I grew up with cats and dogs and other animals from birth, and now I realized that I miss them very much and want to take care of them. I also have a second story of love for animals. I love to walk, and the best company for me is dogs, for me they are the best and most devoted friends. And as for cats, I love to pet them and hear their purring. And if you sum it all up, this is the most valuable pastime for me. Everyone who manages to meet me, you will be sure that your babies will be happy to spend time with me /

I’m sorry, but since I will be returning to Japan in mid-June 2026, I’m not accepting any overnight stays from mid-May onward🥹

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile!
My name is Himika, and I’m from Japan. I spent wonderful years with my beloved Pomeranian, and through that experience, my love and respect for animals grew even stronger.

When I was living in Japan, I volunteered at a rescue dog shelter.I now live in Vancouver and work remotely, which allows me to offer flexible and reliable care for your pets.

I came to Canada because I’m passionate about learning more about animal welfare and how animals are treated and protected here. I believe every pet deserves love, patience, and a safe, comfortable environment—even when their owners are away.
I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I treat each pet like a member of my own family. Whether it’s going for a walk, feeding, playing, or simply keeping them company, I’m happy to help.

I’m looking forward to meeting many adorable pets and giving them the care and attention they deserve. Thank you for considering me as your trusted pet sitter!

Providing a safe and happy environment where dogs can feel at ease is my primary motivation as a pet sitter. I believe that building deep trust with owners is just as important as the care I provide to their furry family members.
With over 30 successful sittings under my belt, I am proud to say that 70% of my clients are repeat customers. This loyalty stems from my commitment to professionalism and my "cage-free" philosophy—I treat every guest as a member of my own family. I never use crates or cages; instead, pets enjoy a clean, spacious, and hazard-free home with a large grassy area for outdoor play.
To ensure a seamless transition, I always take the time to understand each dog’s daily routine before they arrive. Whether it’s specific feeding times, nap schedules, or exercise preferences, I strictly follow their established habits to minimize stress.
Transparency is key to my service. I provide daily detailed reports alongside plenty of photos and videos, so you know exactly what your pet did and how they felt throughout the day. My open, full-time schedule allows me to offer the constant attention and emotional support pets need to thrive. I only accept vaccinated pets to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Thank you for your trust, which allows me to continue doing what I love most!

Hi there! I am an Irish girl living in Vancouver and seriously missing my dogs and cats back home. I’ve grown up in a house full of furry chaos, with cats curled up on the couch and dogs always ready for a walk. Now that I’m far from home, I’m hoping to share that love with your pet! Whether you’re heading away for the weekend or just need a helping hand, I’m available to pet sit in your home and take your fur baby out for fun walks and playtime. I absolutely love all breeds and sizes, from tiny lap dogs to big gentle giants, and from chill cats to sassy kittens. Your pet will get all the cuddles, attention, treats and care they deserve—just like I’d give my own. I would be honoured to fill that pet-shaped void by caring for yours!
I have experience with petsitting in Ireland and Vancouver but unfortunately cannot petsit in my current house.
If this arrangement suits you, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
Thank you!️

Hi! Thanks so much for considering me to take care of your furry family member(s)! Below, you will find more details on me and my experience as well as information on my rates. If you have any questions, please feel free to fire a message my way.I have over 30 years of experience with dogs and have owned dogs for most of my life; I have experienced everything from puppyhood to senior dog care. I have experience with dogs that have required and/or had wheelchairs, diapers, oral medications, eye and ear medications, post-surgery care, paralysis, deafness, blindness, seizures, cancer, skin conditions, special diets, allergic reactions, fear, reactivity, heart conditions, lacerations and broken nails, rescues, escape artists, dogs that try to eat everything, high and low energy dogs, sensitive dogs, ill and well mannered dogs, small to giant dogs, multi-dog families, unsocialized and socialized dogs, and many more.I follow positive reinforcement methodologies and pride myself in being incredibly patient. I will never force a dog in my care to experience anything that could be harmful to them in any way, including psychologically. Having owned dogs with fears and anxieties, I know that helping them through those emotions using positive reinforcement and teaching conditioned emotional responses is the most effective way to help improve their experiences and quality of life. I have had a golden retriever, a beagle, and now an Australian Shepherd, all of whom were/are my best friends.I love dogs and they love me! From teaching dogs new tricks to going on adventures together outside or just chilling at home, I'm up for every experience with your fur baby! I workout every day outside and would love some furry, four legged, company, so you can rest assured your dog will get the exercise it needs when staying with me.My partner and I are home full time, so we have the flexibility to accommodate your pup's needs. My mother-in-law also lives with us and loves to give the dogs all the love and attention that they need and more! We affectionately call all dogs that stay with us our "niños" (kids in Spanish - we're a bilingual household ) and we treat them all like family.I can't wait to meet your best friend and give him or her utmost love, care and attention. Thanks, in advance, for trusting me with your fur baby. ️-------------------Rates:My rates fluctuate throughout the year depending on demand. When requesting my services, please confirm my rate with me prior to finalizing your booking, especially if you are booking a month or more in advance. Rates for intact (non-neutered/non-spayed) dogs:My rates for intact dogs are the same as my puppy rates & holiday puppy rates. The reason for this is because dogs that have not been neutered or spayed require extra precautions to be taken to ensure their safety and wellbeing. I have found that it is rarely the intact dog that causes issues but rather the reactions of neutered males to the presence of intact dogs. My space is setup to accommodate for this and therefore, your intact dog will never be put into any unsafe situation. If you would like more information about how I care for your intact fur baby, please don't hesitate to reach out. Drop-off & pickup times:Depending on the schedule at the time, I may be able to accommodate early and late drop-off and pickup times. If you require drop-off or pickup before 7am or after 9:30pm, an extra $15 will apply for each occurrence of early and/or late drop-off/pickup. If the drop-off or pickup times are earlier or later than I can accommodate, please schedule your pup to be dropped off the day/night before and/or picked up a day later.Daycare rates:My posted daycare rates are for services between 7am and 8pm. If you require daycare outside of these hours, an extra $15 will apply for each occurrence of early and/or late drop-off/pickup. In some instances, I will ask for you to book boarding services rather than daycare services if the drop-off or pick-up times are beyond what I can accommodate with my schedule. If the daycare duration is over 10 hours, an extra $10 will apply.Rates for dogs that require extra attention or that have special needs:Depending on the needs of your pup, an extra amount may apply and will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Drop-off or pick-up service:The posted rate for me to come pickup and/or drop-off your pup is $50 per round trip. So if I were to pickup and drop-off your pup, it would be $100 for this service unless otherwise agreed upon.

Hi there! My name is Kayla , and I’ve had a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds. From caring for my own pets to helping friends and family with theirs, I’ve always found joy in making sure animals feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away.

My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from the belief that pets deserve just as much comfort and attention as people do when their routine changes. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or cuddles on the couch, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your fur baby with someone new, which is why I prioritize trust, transparency, and communication every step of the way.

Yes, I do have experience! I’ve cared for both cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including seniors and pets with special needs. I’m also fully committed to health and safety, so I only accept vaccinated pets into my home.

If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, I’m your sitter!
