For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Markham for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Markham Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Markham sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Pets really are our best friends. For many of us, they’re more than just animals — they’re family. Sometimes they even feel like our own kids! That’s why finding a pet sitter who is caring, reliable, and attentive can make such a big difference when you need someone to look after them.
Being a pet sitter isn’t just about helping pet owners who need an extra hand — it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Spending time with animals, going on walks, playing, and seeing their happy faces honestly makes my day. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
I have experience with dog walking and overnight pet boarding. All you need to do is provide the basic equipment your pet needs and make sure they’re vaccinated — I’ll take care of the rest! Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, your pet will be in good hands.
I’m also happy to send photos and videos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away. I love capturing those fun little moments during walks or playtime! And if I ever notice anything unusual, I’ll let you know right away.
My goal is simple: to make sure your pet is happy and that you can relax knowing they’re well taken care of!

I am a passionate animal lover with extensive experience in dog caregiving. Since the age of 13, I have been providing care for my own dogs, forming a special bond with them, and doing my best to ensure their lives are healthy and happy. Together with my spouse, we provided a loving home for our Miniature Schnauzer for 11 years, contributing to his long and healthy life until the age of 14.

Currently, we have been caring for our Wire Haired German for nearly 3 years with utmost dedication. The time spent with him has reinforced the value of the special bond created with dogs. The photos and writings shared on my Instagram account reflect our intimate relationship with dogs and the enjoyable moments we share.

Working with you would be a fantastic opportunity to further broaden my experience in dog caregiving and share my expertise in the field. With strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility, I assure you that I will provide the necessary care for the health, happiness, and safety of the dogs.

Whether your pup loves long walks, cozy naps, or lots of playtime, I’m here to make them feel right at home. I can’t wait to meet your dog!!

I've taken care of dogs of every kind most of my life, and I love all animals. I will be able to walk, feed, play with, bathe, your pets and even administer medication(s) if required. I will treat your pup(s) friend like a family member as if they were my own. There are lovely parks in the area and I also have a car to take them to off leash parks in the area. Over the years I have I also volunteered with various rescue organizations and I have taken care of many dogs for both family and friends.
I have an open home, and accept dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and ages, and don't have a dog in my home at present, (which is ideal for dogs that may require solo care). There are lots of parks in the area and paths we can walk through together, and lots of other pups in the area to play with, (if your pup is good with other dogs).
Pups are allowed on my furniture and I encourage it. I do however, go by your pup's program, schedule and what you wish. They will be walked every 3-4 hours and also they will be fed based on their current schedule. As I am alone in my apartment, I am able to devote all my time on your pup. The longest I would ever be out of my home is 2 hours however, because I am primarily home, that won't be very frequently.
I have a one bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. I do not have any plants only artificial which are out of reach. I have a very dog friendly apartment. The building is very dog friendly. I also have an elevator in case your pup doesn't like stairs.
I have a balcony which has artificial grass and also I have places for your pup to sit and enjoy a little sunbathing. I will never leave your pup unattended on the balcony.
Before I accept any dog, I like to arrange a meet-and-greet, so make sure we all get along, and so if you think I might be a great fit, please contact me, and let's have a chat!

I have always had a deep love for animals, and becoming a pet sitter is a natural way for me to care for them while helping owners feel at ease when they are away. My goal is to provide a calm, safe, and comforting environment where each pet feels secure, loved, and well cared for.

I live near Sunnybrook Park, which is perfect for enjoyable walks in a beautiful, pet-friendly area. I am happy to welcome pets into my home for boarding or daycare, and I can also travel to your home for drop-in visits or walks, depending on what works best for you and your pet.

I have experience caring for dogs belonging to friends, as well as taking care of my own dog back home. These experiences have taught me how important it is to be patient, attentive, and responsive to each animal’s unique personality and needs.

Walks are a minimum of 30 minutes and can be adjusted depending on your pet’s energy level and preferences. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. During evenings and weekends, I have more flexibility to spend extended time with them, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company.

During home visits, I can also take care of small household tasks such as watering plants, airing out rooms, collecting mail, and providing general home supervision for your peace of mind. My schedule is flexible, and I can arrange visits based on my availability and your pet’s needs.

For the safety and well-being of all pets in my care, I prefer to care for vaccinated animals. Whether your pet stays in my home or I care for them in yours, you can trust me to provide them with the attention, affection, and loving care they deserve.

Whether it’s a quick walk, a cat visit, or an afternoon adventure, your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! I treat every dog and cat like my own - with patience, real affection, and plenty of attention. This isn’t just a side gig to me; it’s something I genuinely love doing!

You can always count on clear communication, quick updates, flexible scheduling, and a reliable routine while you're away. Every pet has a unique personality, and I make sure they feel totally comfortable with me. Whether your energetic dog needs a long walk to burn off steam or your cat needs fresh food, a clean litter box, and some quiet company, I tailor every single visit to what your pet likes best.

From daily walks to drop-in visits, I’m here to make your life easier and give you complete peace of mind. Reach out today to set up a meet and greet!
