Hello Fur Friendly Families!
Since 1993, I live in a well maintained two storey house with a walkout basement in Arbour Lake NW. The house has central air conditioning, and the yard is fully fenced, with a park close by for walks.&nbsp;
I am 60 and the house is smoke free, children free, and cat free.&nbsp;
I have been a "Mini Schnauzer Mama" since 1992, and absolutely love the breed, and their varying personalities. Several years ago, I had "schnauzer twins", a boy, and a girl. Sadly, they were both diabetic, and required twice daily insulin injections. I have medical training, and both my "babies", and I were able to easily contend with their injections. They both eventually became blind, and I became their "seeing eye master". We continued to have a happy life until, sadly, it was time for their trip over the Rainbow Bridge.
Suzie was my next furbaby; she passed away in 2018 a couple weeks before her 13th birthday. She was a beautiful, energetic girl, and everyday with her was an adventure!
In 2019, we adopted Mazie. She is definitely the princess "of the castle". She loves lounging on the couches, and loves to sleep on the bed, covered with her own tiny blanket. Fresh cold water is always available for her.
I would welcome the opportunity to host guest mini schnauzers, and other fur babies that are 15 pounds or less. Please note all visitors must be neutered/spade, and vaccinations must be up to date. Please be assured that your furbabies will be well looked after. I do not take more than one booking for any given period. I am very conscientious about leaving my girl home alone; therefore, I am usually at home with the exception of occasional errands, and appointments.

My name is Lindsay and I have just moved back to my hometown of Calgary (from Vancouver Island). My whole life I have always had a strong connection with animals, whether it be cats, dogs, horses, any and every kind! I believe that animals are better than humans because they love unconditionally, they dont judge you (as long as you're a good person) and they just want to give love and be loved. They fill your heart with so much joy and happiness!
I have had pets for most of my life, ever since I was a little girl.  I currently have 2 cats (Nutmeg and Reuben) and 1 dog (Monty). They all love eachother and are the best of friends. I have always said that my "dream job" would be to work with animals, as it is my passion! I have quite a bit of experience as a volunteer at the Calgary Humane Society and BC SPCA, assisting with puppy training classes, behavioral classes, walking the dogs and giving them lots of love until they find their forever homes.&nbsp;&nbsp;
For the past 10+ years I have worked in the medical field as a doctor assistant (cardiology, rheumatology, sleep medicine) but I would love to pursue this opportunity to work with pets (even if it's just part time).  Whether it's taking them for walks, hanging out and giving them pets and cuddles, or keeping their minds stimulated by playing catch etc.&nbsp;
****My pet services are available to be hosted at my residence or owners residence, and/or walks in the park as well****
Here is a more specific outline of what services I offer:

Long walks (up to 2 hours at a time, $20 per half hour)  or short walks ($10 per 15 minutes) but time can be altered depending on your preference and how much exercise your dog may need.  No more than 3 dogs per household per booking time. If you provide a harness, I can walk your cat too! (Or hang out in the yard with him/her, as long as the harness is on).  
Overnight pet sitting (flexibility depending on how long you are away for, at $80 (overnight), $130 for full 24 hours, $40 for half day, or all day pet sitting (up to 10 hours per day).  Price can be discussed based upon how long you need me there. My availability is very open (Monday through Saturday) as I have minimal commitments for the time being. (Subject to change to part time in September, but will give ample notice beforehand). 
I have some experience in dog/puppy behavioral training, so I can definitely help with that. 
Administering medicine orally, but if your vet has advised an alternative way, I am open to that too as long as I have specific instructions).
Brushing your pets,  removing matted fur, and giving baths. I do not have experience in full grooming yet (so no hair cuts). 
Cleaning up dog poop in the yard for an extra cost of $30, and ofcourse, I will pick up and dispose of it (no charge) while we are on walks. That's just a given, out of respectfulness and consideration.

I am a passionate pet owner who would like to extend my services to others. I am highly experienced with cats of all temperaments and can provide all the snuggles (or lack thereof) while you are away. I also love dogs!I have alot of experience with both cats and dogs. I aim to spend atleast 50-60 minutes with your pets each visit. I take dogs for walk for atleast 45-60 minutes depending on the mood of your pet.&nbsp;My house is currently ruled by two catso unfortunately I am unable to provide care in my house. But I am more than willing to make daily trips to your house to ensure the best care for your pets while you are away. I always aim to impress and my love for animals shows in my level of care towards pets. I am comfortable grooming your pets too if they allow me to.&nbsp;I am a responsible employee and will ensure that you receive a lot of updates and pictures while you are away. I am also quite comfortable doing light activities around your house such as watering your plants (plant momma here) while you are away at no cost to you. Hello, about my experience taking care of pets, I have a long history because I grew up on a farm where we had all kinds of pets such as cows, lambs, dogs, cats, ducks and exotic birds. I fell in love with animals because I believe they are part of the family and deserve the best possible care.
I came to Canada to study English to grow professionally, since I am a geologist and while I study I would love to work in something that I like, such as caring for pets, since I have experience and I really like spending time with them. So I am sure that I can support you with your care to ensure your well-being.
As for my schedule, I am usually available during the week during the afternoons and all day on weekends. On the other hand, with respect to my services, I offer daily walks at times to be coordinated with each request and places to be agreed upon, ideally nearby places in places where your pet feels comfortable.
Additionally, I can offer overnight monitoring, feeding visits but not medication administration, as I believe this should be done by someone qualified.
