Top cities for cat sitting in Canada

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Rockcliffe - Smythe Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Rockcliffe - Smythe cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Rockcliffe - Smythe cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! My name is Elina, I'm 24 and my main job is Dog Daycare Attendant.I’m experienced at handling dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments including any kind of reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding and fears (strangers, dogs and other factors). I also have skills to administer medication and provide any care necessary for your pet :)I live at College & Dovercourt and happy to take your pup on a personalized walk – a calm one around the neighborhood or an extensive one to either Trinity Bellwoods or High Park with or without off leash time, some fetch and/or on-the-go obedience training for some enrichment 🫶
I take your dog's personality, any reactivity and your personal preferences into consideration while handling them during the walk/visit and allowing any interaction with other dogs or people.
I will provide photos/videos after each walk/visit and any notes on their behavior during our time together.
I am available most days before 1PM and after 8PM. I have 2 days/week of full availability depending on my schedule.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

I simply love spending time with animals especially dogs!
My condo doesn't allow to have any pets, however this doesn't stop me loving a dog, so I shift my approach to enjoy time with dogs by using this app. I don't work on Sunday, Monday and has lots of free time on those days.
I love spending time outside, walking/ hiking in the park. Hope I can find opportunities here to spend more time with dogs in the nature.

Grown up with dogs in my childhood
Dog sitting experience during pet's owner is on vacation for few weeks ( stayed at their house)
Lived with landlord's 6 dogs in the house for few years in the past
 Only take vaccinated pets
Living by a huge park, a minute away from subway entrance. Perfect location to take your dog for a walk
I also make a custom order dog costumes on the side.

I have cared for pets for friends, family, and clients who needed a reliable, loving sitter for their furry companions. I have experience with a wide range of pets, from energetic, playful dogs to calm, cuddly cats, and I’m confident with feeding routines, basic care, daily walks, playtime, and plenty of affection.I’m very fortunate to be married to an animal chiropractor, meaning your pet benefits from a household that truly understands animal care and wellbeing. Between the two of us, your dog will be walked regularly, deeply loved, and treated like one of our own. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I take pride in being dependable, attentive, and committed to each pet’s happiness and comfort. Before care begins, I like to learn about your pet’s needs to ensure their safety and routine are fully supported.Care Includes:Daily walks and exercisePlaytime (fetch, tug-of-war, favorite games)Enrichment (puzzle feeders, interactive toys)Comfort and companionship (cuddles, brushing, routine consistency)Calm activities for anxious or senior pets (soft music, gentle interaction)

Hello! I am a professional violinist newly arrived in Toronto, and I would be thrilled to take care of your furry companions.
I grew up on an old farmhouse surrounded by animals, including 3 dogs and 4 cats, which taught me from a very young age how to understand and respect their unique personalities. For the past 12 years, I’ve also been the proud dad of two wonderful cats, Joey and recently Catbus.
During my visits or stays, I will handle all the daily essentials with the utmost care. I will make sure your pets are properly fed on time, refresh their water, and keep the litter boxes or pet areas perfectly clean. Beyond the basic needs, I always dedicate quality time to play with them, offer plenty of cuddles, and ensure they get the physical and mental stimulation they need to feel happy and safe.
Every pet is unique, and I know how important routines are for their well-being. I am highly flexible and more than happy to adapt my care to your specific instructions. After a quick discussion together about your expectations and your companion's habits, I will tailor my routine to match their needs perfectly.

As a musician, my schedule allows me to offer a calm, attentive, and present environment for your pets. Whether they need energetic playtime, nice walks, or just a quiet, reassuring presence and some cuddles, I will treat them like my very own. I am looking forward to giving you total peace of mind while I settle into my new Toronto life!
Daily updates and photos guaranteed.

Bonjour !

hey everyone! growing up I had cats and dogs in the home and love their company! I am a natural caregiver and active person. I pet sit for my friends and family. I love dog walking. I am a registered social worker and have great references.
I work full time from home and schedule my own breaks, thankfully my schedule is super flexible so there is always enough time to walk your dog or comfort them. I love furry friends and since I work from home, I appreciate their companionship and will make sure they feel loved and supported while in my care!
I have experience with various breeds and personalities in pets. I have also fostered dogs and helped integrate rescue dogs, helping them adjust to living in the city and reinforce their training.
I live in a town house, upstairs apartment with a balcony. my front door opens up to a lovely park the length of the entire street! there is a dog park up the road from where i live (wychwood barns dog park) and the amazing christie pits park is just down the street near the off-leash park Bickford. I will supervise your pet to ensure they are safe and happy at all times.
I think it is important to know of any eating schedule the dog needs. if they take any medication. how frequently your dog needs to be walked. any behaviours and triggers, if they are socialized when on walks. I will follow all your instructions and be sure to ask questions about your pet as needed!@noripetcare

Hi! I am a recent Environmental Sciences graduate looking to genuinely spend time with your pets! I have been looking after the pets of my highschool teacher's pets for 5 years and house sitting for them when they are away for vacation on the side. I am very trustworthy and patient when it comes to giving the proper care your pets need. I love to spend quality time connecting and making sure your pets have a good time too. I have experience feeding, walking, and cuddling with pets. I cannot host/on board pets in my home since I live with family but I can look after your pets in your house when it comes to pet sitting/house sitting/drop in visits.
I follow instructions to give the utmost care your pet needs to be happy. In addition, I make sure your pets are safe with me and I always have my phone on me in case I need to contact the owners. I also regularly send pictures of pets to owners for regular updates.
I’m usually available everyday since I work remotely online. My services include:

- Drop in visits to feed your pets (1-2hrs in the evenings or afternoons)
- Walking your dog (late afternoons or evenings)

-Cuddling of course!
I am also willing travel to provide my pet sitting services depending on where you live (across Toronto neighbourhoods). I am available for the holidays as well.I’m usually available everyday but I can’t offer my place (I live with family). I can dog or cat sit your pet at your place. House sitting at your place is also very welcomed.
I have no breed preferences! I love to hang out and look after all types of dogs and cats. I just need specific instruction of how you need me to take care of your pet ahead of time. I love going to walks in high park or any park close by.
We can do meet and greet over zoom or in person (with masks). I am also vaccinated (x3).

Hello and welcome to my profile.
I'm a young professional residing in the Junction/high park area. I'm passsionate about helping others and spreading joy wherever I go. When I'm not pet-sitting I work as a respite support worker at a few homeless shelters in Toronto, as well as at Children's Aid Society, I'm very passionate about making the world a better place. I've had pets all my life (dogs, cats and even smaller animals like guinea pigs, skinny pigs, hamsters and rats) I'm comfortable with all of these pets but cats hold a special place in my heart. My cats are Mia and Lily, they are my babies! I will always make sure to treat your pets with the love and care that they deserve.
My services:
Cats: I will provide with fresh food and water, change their litter and of course offer cuddles and play time!
Dogs: I will provide with fresh food and water as well as walk them (note I'm more comfortable with walking one dog at a time so I can give him/her my undivided attention) and cuddles and play time are a given!
My availability varies, just let me know when you need me and I'll do my very best to make it work. I'm a very reliable person so if you book with me you can trust I will be there. I'm most comfortable with visiting your pets at your home and I will send pics/videos of some of my interactions with them so you know they are happy and safe! ️

Hello . My name is Aishwarya Wadhwani but you can call me Aish. I am a professional engineer by background but absolutely love cats. I have my very own cat Tara - which means a star in my languge, simply because that is what she is to us. I am very conscious of the cat meals, playtime and safety of the cat. I can even make some home made cat meals if that is a preference. I volunteer as a foster for a couple of organizations and help whenever possible either via donations or something as simple as driving cats to vet visits, just playing with them, etc. While I always recommend that you have pet cameras in your home, but you can trust that your cat will be well taken care of when and as you need while I am sitting them. I know that ultimately the love for them is like a baby.

Are you looking for a good and reliable worker to pet sit or walk your four-legged friend? Look no further! I am an experienced pet lover and pet service care provider with over a decade of experience.
I have been trusted by both neighbours and strangers alike to ensure that their pets get essential daily enrichment and walks as well as one-on-one play time and cuddles. When you trust me with a beloved member of the family, they will be given the highest standard of care and all the love they need while you're away! Worried about your pet not being able to take their medication without you? I will ensure that essential medication has been given as prescribed.
Being away from your pet is hard - which is why I offer to send photos and video updates of the fun times your pet will have with me while you're away. If interested, inquire about personalized paw art that I offer to make as a memento keepsake.

Hello, my name is Maria! I am a very affectionate person and I love animals. I have 10 years of experience living with dogs on a daily basis, but since I was very young I have always loved being around animals. Being around an animal makes me feel more alive, happy and excited. I definitely prefer animals to humans. If you are looking for a trustworthy person who loves animals and will take care of your pet as if it were their own, feel free to get in touch. My house has enough space to comfortably receive your pet, it has a fenced-in balcony, my living room has space for your pet to roam freely and it will have free access to my bedroom. (I have always slept with my pet in bed, this will never be a problem, as I do not have other animals or children at home). Taking care of an animal cannot be just a job, but a pleasure with a lot of love, affection and leisure. You need to love animals, in addition to taking care of them. Your pet's stay with me will be very beneficial for your dog's health, as we will be strict with feeding, hydration, energy-burning games and rest, all according to the owner's authorization and always respecting the animal's limits. If you want someone to take care of your pet and ensure that he is safe and happy, don't hesitate to contact me! This experience will be truly incredible for all of us! I look forward to taking care of your precious pet.

Hi, my name is Sana , and I m passionate about providing loving care for pets while their owners are away. I have always been an animal lover, growing up with pets of all kinds from dogs and cats and birds. This lifelong experience has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior and the care they need to feel safe, happy, and comfortable.
I understand how hard it can be to leave your pet, so I strive to offer peace of mind by treating each pet like they are my own. Whether its a walk in the park, a fun play session, or just some cozy cuddle time, I am here to make sure your pet is well cared for and content.I also prioritize safety and will only accept pets that are up-to-date on vaccinations to ensure a healthy environment for everyone.
I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

I am a university student who has a tons of spare time currently, I only have class two days a week and would like to walk your dogs. I have two dogs of my own and have had 5 within my lifetime, all have been sweet and wonderful. I love animal and I currently walk my dogs as well as family and friends dogs often and would love to walk yours too. I have been taking care of and walking dogs for the past 10 years and absolutely love animals. I do my best to make sure my dogs are well trained and have a healthy active lifestyle, I love taking the time to bond with the dogs on walks and for my personal dogs I take that time to train them as well. I've dealt with dogs that hate getting up and having to go for walks to dogs that are extremely energetic and no matter what type of dog I'm walking they always are having fun and end up enjoying the walk. My dog Theo is a couch potato but after a few walks I got him to stop pulling when walking, walk by my side and we got so much closer. I also have experience with cats and have two of my own, as well as experience with taking care of ferrets, lizards and other small rodents. I have trained my past two dogs and well as taken care of them completely by my and they are the most well behaved and happy dogs I know, I would like to hang out with and walk you dog, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi! I currently live in Bloorwest village, though I grew up on a Christmas tree farm on the weekends around nature and wildlife. I've been around animals my whole life with dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, and mice as our other family members and my dad being a veterinarian.I went vegan about 10 years ago after volunteering at a farm sanctuary for rescued animals. I have a cat named Xander (Buffy reference..) who is my world. While I would love to have a dog as well, I don't have the space currently for one. I currently work in retail, and one of the best parts of my job is when customers come in with their dogs! Animals make my life brighter and I would love to have dog walking be a regular part of my life.I'm a very detail oriented person so the more details the better when it comes to looking after your furbaby on walks. I would love to hear about their personality, likes and dislikes, any triggers they may have, so that they have the most enjoyable walk and their needs are met, and so that I feel fully prepared. Their safety will be my number 1 priority and it's important that your dog, you as the guardian, and myself feel comfortable and I feel knowledge is a key part of achieving that. If you would like updates on your furbaby I would be happy to provide them through photos and texts. My feet are my mode of transportation so I only take bookings that are under 20 minute walking distance of where I live.Safety: If you are considering hiring me to walk your dog, I would really appreciate if you have a photo of yourself and your pet so that I feel more confident that you are a real person. Thank you!
