My name is Brittney. In April 2021, I graduated from University of Calgary by completing my after-degree in Education. I have recently earned a continuous full-time teaching contract with the CBE. I will be teaching Grade 1 in NE Calgary for the 2024-2025 school year. One of my interests includes swimming as I used to be a competitive swimmer and coached for a number of years. My other interests include yoga and reading. I also love to travel, so I understand the need to have peace of mind when going away and leaving a pet behind. I had a dog as a kid, however my main passion is cats. I have always wanted a cat since I was a kid, but my parents were allergic. About 7 years ago, I finally adopted a cat with my boyfriend from the Central Alberta Humane Society in Red Deer before moving to Calgary. She unfortunately passed away in early August. We adopted a cat at the end of October 2024, naming her Honey. We are so happy to have a cat in our lives again!
Services that I offer include visits for your cat. I am located in central SW Calgary, so I am able to offer single home visits within a reasonable distance of the central SW area. I offer double day visits for the included areas: Rosscarock, Wildwood, Strathcona Park, Killarney, Glenbrook, Signal Hill, Glamorgan, South Calgary areas. Since I am working in the NE during the school year (just off Memorial), I would be open to providing services in that area as well. If you are questioning whether or not I offer services in your area, feel free to shoot me a message and we can figure things out! My home visits will be a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour. During my home visit, I will provide fresh water and food, clean litter boxes, and of course give your kitty some love! With my busy work as a teacher, I only offer single visits during the week. Weekday single visits will occur around supper time/after school hours. On weekends that I am available, I offer 2x visits as well as single visits; however, will only be taking 1 booking at a time during the school year. With my experience of having a cat of my own, I am confident I can provide the care that your cat needs while you are away. I have adored all animals since I was a kid, growing up on a farm I cared for horses, cows, Chickens, pigs, goats and many dogs. As I got older the connection I felt to animals grew stronger and I found myself dreaming about caring for them on a regular basis.&nbsp;In 2018 I worked with Rescue Paws Thailand for 7 months to help control the population of stray dogs, I couldn't be more grateful for this experience as this is where I met my bestfriend Chazzy, (my dog) who is a special part of our family now.Today I have 2 animals of my own, a doggo and bunny. My family and I have always had cats. The cat I grew up with was more of a sibling than a pet, and my current cats are my children. I've had many a cat friend (and occasionally got along with them better than with their humans!), and in social situations, I dedicate as long to my friends' pets as I do to my friends themselves. I've trained my cats to do tricks, walk on a leash, and I brush their teeth daily.

Please make sure to let me know ahead of time if your cats have any preference, special needs, or particular behaviours that I should be aware of; I should be able to accommodate most of these. For instance, I can mix different types of food, adding some water to their food, heating it when it comes out of the fridge, adding supplements/medicine, etc. In some cases, I may also be able to trim claws, clean ears, and the like, if your cat is particularly friendly, too! I have experience administering medicine (pills, liquid medicine injected orally, inhaler, etc.).

Her name is Lili, she's a 14 years old chihuahua-daschund. I have always loved animals and have had a few growing up, cats, hamster, rabbit and dogs.
Me and my boyfriend started cat sitting our neighbor's adorable 3 cats. We loved going there to feed them, play with them, hangout for a bit and clean their litter boxes.
