Top cities for house sitting in Canada

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Whalley home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Whalley.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Whalley home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I feel like I connect with animals more than humans and they connect with me as well. Dogs love to meet me, cats love to sit in my lap. I don't even own a pet currently but they still love me. My dog back home was born in 2009, and still barking for biscuits.
I want to be a pet sitter because I understand the frustration of pet parents not being able to find the right sitter for their fur babies. The trust of treating the pet just like you would is very hard to build and I provide this from the very first time.
I love dogs and cats and other animals. I can help with all kinds of dogs for the services on this app. Can also manage multiple pets of different kind as I have experience with pet care as well.
I can manage dogs of all sizes as long as they're not too aggressive and require a muzzle.
I will keep the dog engaged in various activities and games in order to properly expend their energy and create a learning experience wherein they would look forward to meeting me again.

As a passionate animal lover, the most important aspect of sharing experiences with non-human animals is to do it without discrimination. The most wonderful thing I've learned from my experiences, is the forgiveness that traumatized nonhuman animals have towards humans through my experience at the cat sanctuary. I also strongly believe there are no "bad" animals, beings can choose to learn and grow no matter what their past experiences. Through my experiences I have learned and grown, seeing the beauty in every interaction I have with nonhuman animals. As a pet sitter, I want to learn and grow with you and your companions, providing unbiased and inclusive care for you and them!My experience includesVolunteering at RAPS cat sanctuary in Richmond since 2022Overnight care of my siblings 3 cats for 1 week in December 2022Daily drop in care of 3 rats for 3 days this July between the 7-9thFor references please request directly as I need to ask permission to give out personal numbers. My services include a wide range of animal care from birds, rodents, cat, dogs and more. I have experience with having dogs, cats, sugar gliders, rabbits, and birds as companions of my own. Hi, I’m Jamie. I’m a North Shore living, sunshine loving, animal fanatic! I don’t own a pet right now so I need to borrow yours to give me my pet fix for the time being! Warning: I’ll spoil them.
I’ve grown up with animals and currently have family pets who I adore. My future goal is to live on acreage and adopt all the rescue animals! I’m comfortable with all breeds and I have a pretty flexible schedule. If there’s anything else you want to know, feel free to ask! Looking forward to meeting your furry, 4 legged friend(s). Talk to you soon!
I charge $65 per night for overnight stays. I am also offering 2 Hour forest or beach adventures for $45 + $10 for each additional pet. I charge $25 per 30 min walk, and 40 for an hour. Seving North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Lions Bay ONLY!
Please dont hesitate to contact me and ask for my reviews which speak for themselves. I have always been great with animals and they seem to love me right back. I'll make sure they feel as comfortable as possible while you're away, as I know separation anxiety can be tough for doggo AND owner.
Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend(s)!!!!
Sincerely,

Professional & Caring Pet Sitter | Senior Dogs & Multi-Breed dogs and cats Experience~

Hello, my name is Julie. I am a caring and responsible pet sitter with hands-on experience providing attentive care for dogs&cats of different ages, sizes, and personalities.
I have experienced to take care of the adopted dog and cat in my home warmly and successfully. In the end my clients came back from vacation happily!
I especially enjoy caring for senior dogs and understand that older pets may need extra patience, gentle handling, and close observation. I pay careful attention to changes in appetite, drinking habits, energy levels, mobility, bathroom routines, and overall comfort.

I have experience caring for a variety of senior and small-to-medium companion breeds, including a 12-year-old Chihuahua, an 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, a 10-year-old Cockapoo, an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever, and a 12-year-old Border Collie mix etc.. Each dog has unique needs, and I always adjust my care approach based on their age, breed, and personality.

My pet care services include:

-Daily dog walking and appropriate exercise based on age and ability；
-Feeding according to the owner’s instructions and dietary needs；
-Fresh water and general hygiene care；
-Paw cleaning and light grooming after walks；
-Medication support when needed following owner or veterinary instructions；
-Regular photo and video updates for peace of mind

I understand that senior dogs often require a stable routine and a calm environment. My goal is to help them feel safe, comfortable, and supported while their family is away.

I believe every dog deserves patience, respect, and kindness. Whether small or large, young or senior, I treat every pet as if they were my own.

I am also continuing my professional development through pet care and first aid training to provide even higher-quality care.

Thank you for trusting me with your family member. I look forward to meeting your furry friend!

I truly appreciate my returning clients and offer special rates as a thank-you for their continued trust and support:)
