I recently graduated in Veterinary Medicine in Brazil, and I am currently enrolled in the Veterinary Assistant Office program at Bow Valley College to improve my English skills and gain more experience. I have a deep passion for animals and strive to provide the best possible care for them. I have 20 years of non-professional experience as a pet owner and, professionally, 1 year of experience in home care for various types of pets, as well as 3 years of internships in veterinary clinics, I come with letters of recommendation from the places I've worked. As a pet sitter, I offer personalized services to meet the specific needs of your furry friend. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and, of course, lots of love and attention. When you book any of my services, here’s what you can generally expect:

  At least one photo update per visit sent through the app
  Adherence to the owner's instructions
  Ongoing communication with the owner regarding any changes with the pet
  Feeding the pet as required
  Access to fresh water


30-Minute Dog Walking:

  Enjoy walking and spending quality time with your pet (weather permitting)
  Cleaning up after your pet
  Leash and poop bags should be provided by the owners

One-Time Home Visit:

  
    Single visit to the owner's home to feed, refill water, and play with your pet, while following the owner’s specific guidelines
    The pet and its area will be kept clean, including cleaning up any messes
    Taking your pet outside for potty and pee breaks
  

House Sitting:

  I will stay overnight at the owner's home to care for their pet
  I will ensure that both evening and morning routines are followed according to the owner's guidance
  Light housekeeping tasks, such as watering plants, putting out garbage bins on collection day, and cleaning up to maintain the original condition upon my arrival
  The pet and its area will be kept hygienic, including cleaning up any messes
  Taking your pet outside for potty and pee breaks

Hi, nice to meet you!!  My names Autumn, I'm 25 and I've grown up with animals and always lived with joy having them in my life. I've had so many cats and dogs come in my life but still not enough!! I miss having those moments with animals and I'd love to be able to take care of your pets for you with you knowing that they are in good hands. I am very comfortable with different kinds of dogs/cats as I've done pet care on and off for the past 5 years and I worked in homes cleaning.  
I'm a very empathetic and caring person, so when it comes to animals I always am trying to make sure they are as happy as they can be. One of the dogs I had growing up was a German Shepherd/Border Collier mix and such a energetic dog always wanting to play catch even in the house, and stubborn as can be! I've been loving animals since I can remember. Growing up, I was the go-to around the neighborhood for friends and loved ones who needed their pets looked after, and that's only continued into my adulthood. I have taken care of the furry friends of friends and strangers alike (cats, dogs, fish, salamanders), and my longest live-in sitting job was for a week and a half (for two high-energy schnauzer-doodle mixes).
I am a student at MRU, and the vast majority of my day is open for house visits or walks. I am available in the mornings, afternoons, evenings - essentially just whenever you need someone to pop in. I'm also available for overnight care on nights that I am not working at my library job. My husband takes care of the house and our cats whenever I'm watching pets overnight, so all is taken care of on that front.
I currently have two cats of my own - Seth and Astrid - and they are the lights of my life. I've also owned Guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and geckos, so I'm well versed in the care of small animals. I have experience with disabled animals (one of my cats is deaf, so I understand alternative methods of communication with animals), and experience with behavioural issues or difficult personalities (my other cat has extreme anxiety around people, so we have had to adapt our lives in order to help her be comfortable.) I also have experience walking reactive dogs, though I would prefer not to unless I understand their personalities and triggers better.

Hi ! I'm Aileen, a 60ish retired paralegal, former president (18 years!) on my condo board, a responsible, reliable dog walker, house and pet sitter located in Calgary. I'm an animal lover, any shapes sizes and colors, but my main love is for dogs and dog walking to get me and your fur baby out for an enjoyable walk. Dogs just make me smile and give me that warm fuzzy feeling inside as it takes so little to make them happy and that's simply a walk outdoors so they can sniff every blade of grass if they choose to!&nbsp;&nbsp;
After I lost my Maltese Pepe at age 18 in 2018, I very much enjoyed engaging with my neighbors who entrusted me to take their fur baby out and escort me on my daily walks...or required care if their parents took a trip away or just needed to work late and couldn't get home to their pooch for dinner and a walk. I quickly became the go to person since I was retired and accessible most of the time. I should mention that Pepe became diabetic last 5 years of his life which required me to inject him daily with insulin. I offer both house sitting and boarding, depending on your needs. While I don’t have formal veterinary training, I’ve cared for dogs from puppyhood to their golden years and know how to spot when something’s off. When other people can’t be there, I love stepping in to give peace of mind and plenty of belly rubs. I do prefer vaccinated or titer-tested pets when hosting others in my home, but I’m happy to chat depending on the situation.
