Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Ottawa home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Ottawa.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Ottawa home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Is there a better way to get over an ex than by redirecting your love towards an animal? I think not! Your fur baby will be showered with deep affection and care and spoiled with meandering walks and endless cuddles. I recently lost my dog in a break up and am now seeking new 4-legged friends to spend time with.
I can offer long or short evening (after 6pm) and weekend walks, as well as boarding for luxurious weekend getaways. If you are comfortable having your pet at home solo during the day (with the exception of Thursdays), we can also make that happen.
My low-stimulous apartment is located on the second floor of a heritage building and most suitable to accommodate small to mid-size pets. I also have a car to whisk your pet away to the countryside or out to a forest retreat.
I grew up with three pugs, a cat, hamsters, frogs, a jar of stick bugs, and two brothers which makes me a seasoned caretaker of various types of animals. For the last year, I've been learning how to train a reactive senior rescue dog with successful results. We don't give up on our loved ones, even if they're flawed <3
I have plenty of experience petsitting (dogs and cats) for friends, family, and neighbours, and am accustomed to doing routine walks and feeding.
I look forward to hearing from you!

I have always loved animals. I lived with a dog for 16 years and now I have a cat (that I took in) who only cares about cuddling. I volunteered for some time at a local animal shelter and know how to care about those lovely friends.7 mo the ago I lost my 15-year old cat and after a period of grief I decided to take a new one as I was once again settle down in my lifeI know it can be stressful or disruptive to have to leave our animals behind if you need to be away.I will be happy to come visit them, play with them, give them food, clean their litter box or walk them out and give them cuddling. I can also give them their medicines if needed.I have been doing pet sitting for 3 years now.I adapt to diets and give them treatsI can administrate medicationI change the water if it's not a fountainI take pictures to show you that they're okay at every visitFor visit at home, I stay between 30 to 45 minutes. For dog walking, I adapt to each dog as some need longer walks, or other are old so we need to be careful about that. Parks are nearby in the area so I go there.I can do house sitting for the night but I'll still have to go to work, so let's discuss this in more detail. I'm available every day after 4pm and can work from home.I'm able to petsit in the area of centretown. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding my services. If you think I could be a good fit, please provide the following information:- number of pet in your household with their name- are they used to visitors- your area

Hi! I’m a big animal lover and a reliable pet sitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs and cats. I understand that every pet is different, so I always take the time to learn their routine, personality, and what makes them feel comfortable and happy. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I always adapt to their needs and treat them with care and patience.I have open availability and can accept last-minute bookings when needed. I’m able to do multiple walks per day and keep your pet’s usual routine as close as possible so they feel secure while you’re away. I can travel anywhere in the city and am happy to help with walks, drop-ins, feeding, or just giving your pet some company and attention. I always treat every animal like my own.And I take in any type of dogs

Anne Marie

I’ve always loved animals, and dogs have always been an important part of my family. The pictures on my profile are of my family’s Golden Retriever, Rosi, and I absolutely love her!
My experience so far has mainly been with dogs from my family and friends, but I’m comfortable with the everyday responsibilities of pet care, including feeding, providing fresh water, going for walks, playing, and making sure they are safe and comfortable. I’m also attentive to their routines and understand that every dog has different needs and personality.
I’m a very active person and enjoy walking, visiting parks, jogging, swimming, and cycling. I would love to share some of these outdoor activities with your dog when appropriate.
I’m responsible, patient, caring, and reliable, and I’ll always treat your pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. I also speak Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French (still learning!). I’d be happy to meet you and your pet!

Hi! My name is Hussein,
I'm currently in university studying psychology, my hobbies include music, art, going out in nature, and spending time with loved ones (pets included of course). I've always been an animal person, specifically a dog person, but I get along great with all pets and love making new animal friends :) Sorry, your pets will love me so much they won't want you to come back home.
I can't bring pets to my place, but I'd be more than happy to stay at your house and keep your pet company while you're away. If you provide me with a list of things to do with your pet while you're gone, that'll make it easier for both me and your animal. Going for walks is my favourite thing to do, especially with this gorgeous weather, I'll be sure to walk your dog as many times as they want!
My rates are around $20/Day, depending on how long the stay is, we can discuss that and come to an agreement that works for the both of us. I can do overnight stays, weekend stays, or even full weeks. My preference would be to stay in the core of the city, but if you're a little further away that's ok too.
Feel free to message me for any other details. I look forward to hearing from you!
