I've been looking after my own pets for 19 years, which have included rabbits, cats, hamsters, birds, fish, and a dog.
My area of expertise is rabbit care. I have volunteered with rabbit rescue organizations, and I have spent countless hours researching rabbit care, as their needs and behaviours are quite different from cats and dogs. I have reared multiple rabbits from youth to geriatric age, which has given me the experiences of caring for elderly and disabled rabbits and administering oral and injected medication. Among friends, I am the go-to rabbit parent for advice and rabbit sitting.
I am delighted to offer my services to the pet parents of rabbits and other small animals, in particular, as we are an often overlooked group. Rabbits are affectionate pets with bountiful personality, and I hope they will become more and more popular in the future. I have a huge soft spot and experience with multiple species of pet rodent, as well. They are all unique, no matter how small.
I have also fostered multiple rescue cats who needed to become accustomed to living with humans. In the future, I am planning to have a small dog, but until then, I am happy to take care of yours :) I have had a small amount of experience living with reptiles, and I will continue to expand my knowledge about less common pets. I am comfortable adapting to the particular needs of multi-pet households.
If I had it my way, I would live in a household with all different kinds of pets. I'm a life-long animal lover, and I love seeing all the different ways animals thrive. Pets bring me joy and a sense of peace in ways that nothing else can.

I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by dogs, we had three English Setters as our family dogs back in France. They weren't just pets; they were my childhood companions and my shadow. Living in Calgary for work is a great adventure, but coming home to a quiet house is what I find the hardest. I truly miss the energy, the personality, and the bond you only get with a dog.
Having raised three Setters from pups to seniors, I’m very comfortable with the 'real' side of dog care. I know how to handle high-energy breeds, dogs who follow their nose, or those who just need a patient friend. I am also a runner and would be more than happy to go for a run with your dog if they need to burn off extra energy!&nbsp;
My Approach &amp; Reliability:I take a very calm and observant approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs; I believe in letting them come to me at their own pace to build real trust. Having managed senior dogs, I am experienced in administering oral medications and strictly following medical or dietary routines. In case of an emergency, I am quick to react, highly organized, and will immediately contact you and your preferred vet while ensuring the dog stays calm.&nbsp;
House-Sitting &amp; Extra Care: My current apartment is a bit too small to host dogs comfortably, but I am more than happy to do house-sitting at your place! As a 'French touch', if you’re okay with it, I can even prepare a typical French "Petit Pot-au-Feu" for your dog (a healthy slow-cooked mix of lean meat and carrots) to make them feel extra loved while you're away.I’ll treat your dog with the same care and love I gave my own family dogs back home. A little more about me.... I grew up on a farm and learned to love animals at a very young age. Cats, bunnies, dogs etc. I use to talk to them as a child. If you asked my sister she'd tell you I called the ants my friends! Who knew where the connection with animals would lead me.

Bailey and I love to go on adventures whether that be a stroll in the lark or taking a ride to the mountains. 
i start my mornings with a dog walk (weather permitting .... Eek winter!!). And I often take a walking break mid day or close to supper as a way to end the day. 
We do go off leash, but I am also open to taking any dog that needs to be on leash only. I work with the comfort of your pet. 
Walks are anywhere from 30 mins-60 mins at a time. At least twice a day. Depending on weather and animal comfort &amp; safety.

I have been dog sitting for about 2 years and I love it! I love animals, taking care of them, going for adventures and soaking up as much cuddle time as I can get. If you book with me you can be sure that your dog will be getting a lot of exercise, tons of playtime, attention and will be in perfectly safe hands. 
My services are only for overnight dog sitting. However once a client becomes regular I am open to other services as well. We will go for long walks, play, and sleep. I have experience training and grooming, and I absolutely love brushing dogs. 
Dogs and other animals fill up a big part of my life, since I am a student I cannot afford having any animals myself, and savour every moment I can get with them.   At least one photo update per visit sent through the app
  Adherence to the owner's instructions

  Enjoy walking and spending quality time with your pet (weather permitting)
  Cleaning up after your pet
  Leash and poop bags should be provided by the owners

One-Time Home Visit:

  
    Single visit to the owner's home to feed, refill water, and play with your pet, while following the owner’s specific guidelines
    The pet and its area will be kept clean, including cleaning up any messes
    Taking your pet outside for potty and pee breaks
  

House Sitting:

  I will stay overnight at the owner's home to care for their pet
  I will ensure that both evening and morning routines are followed according to the owner's guidance
  Light housekeeping tasks, such as watering plants, putting out garbage bins on collection day, and cleaning up to maintain the original condition upon my arrival
  The pet and its area will be kept hygienic, including cleaning up any messes

I've been loving animals since I can remember. Growing up, I was the go-to around the neighborhood for friends and loved ones who needed their pets looked after, and that's only continued into my adulthood. I have taken care of the furry friends of friends and strangers alike (cats, dogs, fish, salamanders), and my longest live-in sitting job was for a week and a half (for two high-energy schnauzer-doodle mixes).
I am a student at MRU, and the vast majority of my day is open for house visits or walks. I am available in the mornings, afternoons, evenings - essentially just whenever you need someone to pop in. I'm also available for overnight care on nights that I am not working at my library job. My husband takes care of the house and our cats whenever I'm watching pets overnight, so all is taken care of on that front.
I currently have two cats of my own - Seth and Astrid - and they are the lights of my life. I've also owned Guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and geckos, so I'm well versed in the care of small animals. I have experience with disabled animals (one of my cats is deaf, so I understand alternative methods of communication with animals), and experience with behavioural issues or difficult personalities (my other cat has extreme anxiety around people, so we have had to adapt our lives in order to help her be comfortable.) I also have experience walking reactive dogs, though I would prefer not to unless I understand their personalities and triggers better.

Hi ! I'm Aileen, a 60ish retired paralegal, former president (18 years!) on my condo board, a responsible, reliable dog walker, house and pet sitter located in Calgary. I should mention that Pepe became diabetic last 5 years of his life which required me to inject him daily with insulin.
