Hi! My name is Hélène (pronounced Ellen). I'm originally from France but now a proud Canadian citizen. I speak, English, French and Spanish. I’m a passionate animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs and cats. Having grown up with them, I developed a deep appreciation for their companionship and well-being.
Pet sitting is something I genuinely love because I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. It’s already stressful enough for them to be apart from you, my goal is to make them feel at ease and cared for. I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pets with a sitter because no one knows their needs better than you. Hi! My name is Katie and I'm excited to care for your fur baby(ies)! My family has had dogs for the last ~20 years. My parents currently have two Portuguese Water Dogs named Minnie and Gracie, and I have my own dog (a wonderful mutt) named Charlie. Unfortunately, due to my academic schedule this year, Charlie is at home in the US with his grandparents. As such, I am missing pet love in my life and eager to take care of your animal(s)! I have experience caring for our dogs and many other dogs and cats belonging to friends and family.  I am happy to offer all services at your home: I can walk your dog, come over during the day to take care of your animal(s) and watch them while you're away too. As a graduate student, I have a pretty flexible schedule so I am available throughout the day and during the week (except as noted in my availability). For home visits and overnight care, I am happy to bring in the mail, water plants, administer medication to your pets - just let me know how I can help! House sitting and pet sitting also gives my little dog, Ruby, the opportunity to explore and make new friends (both human and animal). Our pets lives are relatively short, so I think it's our job to make each day we are lucky enough to be with them special. I'm driven to give Ruby the best life, which has the incredible side effect of also improving mine. I treat any pet under my care as if they were my own and love giving them as many special days as possible.

I've spent years WWOOFing, which means to work on organic farms in exchange for room and board. WWOOF stands for Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms, and it's a platform that links visitors (WWOOFers) with organic farmers all around the world. These experiences taught me about permaculture gardening, caring for livestock, landscaping and much more.

In addition to that, I also ran a dog sitting service out of my home for about a year. Plus I have taken on a number of odd jobs house sitting and pet sitting over the years.

However, the greatest testament to my experience caring for pets is in the form of my happy, healthy little dog Ruby. You can rest assure that I will be giving your pet(s) the same love and attention that I give my own dog every day.
