Top cities for house sitting in Canada

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Bells Corners home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Bells Corners.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Bells Corners home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi there! My name is Peigi, and I’m currently a university student studying at Carleton. I’ve been working as a hostess at a local restaurant for about three years now, and I’ve also been working as a dining service attendant at a nearby retirement home for about a year. I’ve honestly always loved animals—they’ve just always had a really special place in my heart. Since I already have quite a few of my own and genuinely enjoy taking care of them, I figured pet sitting would be the perfect thing for me to do! I’m available to visit your home once or twice a day to make sure your pets are well-fed, properly stimulated, and just generally feeling happy and cared for. I’ve done pet sitting for friends and family in the past, experience with cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits and birds. Now I’m looking to help more families who might need it. Im only interested in sitting for cats and smaller animals. All my pets are vaccinated and super friendly!
I am available during mornings, afternoons and evenings! My services include home visits while you're away once or twice a day! I can stay with the pets for a maximum of 30 minutes, I can also water plants and take in mail!

I’ve always loved animals, and dogs have always been an important part of my family. The pictures on my profile are of my family’s Golden Retriever, Rosi, and I absolutely love her!
My experience so far has mainly been with dogs from my family and friends, but I’m comfortable with the everyday responsibilities of pet care, including feeding, providing fresh water, going for walks, playing, and making sure they are safe and comfortable. I’m also attentive to their routines and understand that every dog has different needs and personality.
I’m a very active person and enjoy walking, visiting parks, jogging, swimming, and cycling. I would love to share some of these outdoor activities with your dog when appropriate.
I’m responsible, patient, caring, and reliable, and I’ll always treat your pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. I also speak Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French (still learning!). I’d be happy to meet you and your pet!

Hi! My name is Hussein,
I'm currently in university studying psychology, my hobbies include music, art, going out in nature, and spending time with loved ones (pets included of course). I've always been an animal person, specifically a dog person, but I get along great with all pets and love making new animal friends :) Sorry, your pets will love me so much they won't want you to come back home.
I can't bring pets to my place, but I'd be more than happy to stay at your house and keep your pet company while you're away. If you provide me with a list of things to do with your pet while you're gone, that'll make it easier for both me and your animal. Going for walks is my favourite thing to do, especially with this gorgeous weather, I'll be sure to walk your dog as many times as they want!
My rates are around $20/Day, depending on how long the stay is, we can discuss that and come to an agreement that works for the both of us. I can do overnight stays, weekend stays, or even full weeks. My preference would be to stay in the core of the city, but if you're a little further away that's ok too.
Feel free to message me for any other details. I look forward to hearing from you!

Giver of the chin scratches and belly rubs. Excellent toy thrower and receiver. Superb cuddler.
For as long as I can remember, there has always been a pet in my house. When I moved out, I became a foster mom because an empty house is heartbreaking. While I currently have three fluffy felines of my own, I do love all house pets and have experience taking care of a variety of them. As a pet lover, I understand how anxiety-inducing leaving your pet can be! Do not fuss. Your furry family member will be in excellent hands.
I have pet sat several cats of all ages, hamsters and guinea pigs, snails (African Land snails), and aquarium fishes (including an axolotl).
I have a vehicle and so getting around the city is not a problem which means taking your dog out to a park isn't an issue!

Hi, I'm Deanna. I have experience taking care of cats, dogs, rabbits as well as fish and birds. I have also had hamsters and guinea pigs as pets. I love animals. :)
