I am Steph, I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) and have practiced as a veterinarian for the past 4 years in Australia, currently practicing in the lower mainland, and needless to say, I am very passionate about animals. I have experience in caring for different kinds of animals, especially dogs, cats, pet rats, chicken, fish, guinea pigs, and birds. I am experienced in pet sitting, pet walking, and have fostered multiple pets. I have just relocated to Richmond from Australia, and am currently in the process of obtaining registration with the BC vet board. My current schedule is allowing myself to service those with lovely fur child at their homes :) I strive to provide excellent care for healthy pets, but am definitely more than happy to service elderly pets, pets with health concerns as well, so that you feel assured during your time away from your beloved pet.

FOR HOME VISITS:

Service: Minimum 30 minutes

I am able to give injections (e.g. insulin), take spot blood glucose reading if required (increased cost if very frequent measurement required), oral medications, ear medications, spot-on medications (including preventatives e.g. revolution if you struggle to give it yourself), eye drops, cream, and trim nails.

For pets with cardiac disease, I am able to perform a resting respiratory rate count for you while you are away (this is part of a heart disease monitoring tool), and monitor your pet.

For pets with renal disease, I am able to take a measurement of a daily water intake if required.

For pets with gut issues, I am happy to help you collect a sample of faeces if requested, for you to bring to your regular vet for examination.

Disclaimer: for the above medicating procedures and nail trimming, some pets really do not tolerate these procedures and might require owner's assistance. However, I promise that I will always try my best.

FOR HOUSE SITTING:

Service: arrival

at your residence at around 4pm on designated days, arrival time can be negotiated depending on my schedule, leaving around 10-11am next morning. Again times are negotiable.

I am also able to provide the above treatments as required.

FOR PET WALKING:

Service: minimum 30 minutes.

I am also able to provide first aid (e.g. cardiac compression) if any emergency shall occur, and bring your pet to your preferred emergency vet if you wish. I do not have access to medical instruments including oxygen, endotracheal tubes, intravenous catheters and fluid.

Disclaimer: This service does not replace the need for veterinary care (including hospitalization, wound care etc) at your regular vet if your pet requires immediate or specific treatment and monitoring, as I do not have access to medical instruments for your visits. I am able to provide service for pets with certain health conditions that are stable. This service is also only provided for pets who are up to date with vaccination (including rabies). A veterinary consultation is also not included.

Note: Please kindly let me know if your dog is either dog aggressive / human aggressive. If this is the case, please kindly provide a muzzle suitable for your pet's size :)
