Hi, I’m Don Welbourne, a retired Network Engineer who lives alone in a cozy 1 bedroom with a pet welcoming daybed in the living room set next to a large window. I have always loved animals and have never said “no” to a stray or friendly dog who would want a pet or to jump up on you for a good neck rub, Having the privilege of having both dogs and cats in my life, I miss having an animal to spoil and cuddle with. Unfortunately, I don’t have the financial security to offer a permanent home to a dog or cat. After my best buddy George died (a 200lbs 11-year-old Saint Bernard) and it broke my heart, I swore I’d never own another animal without having the finances to properly take care of it. Before my rescue of George from an animal shelter, I had “Godfather”, a 36 lbs. Maine coon cat who died of old age peacefully in my arms. My ex-wife and I were always taking in strays. I consider myself an amateur Chef and used to love cooking up fresh meals and treats for my animals. I will talk for hours with a pet and offer pets and scratches when wanted and for as long as they are wanted and will play with your pet when they are in the mood.
I have recently changed my profile to Cats only, because of my balance issues when walking dogs.
