Hi!

I'm Tenille. I'm a South African in NW Calgary.

I just LOVE dogs and I've spent years fostering and helping injured shelter dogs - from walking rehab (Sweetie, an Afrikaanis breed native to South Africa) to adopting a beautiful senior pitbull/ lab mix (Happy). She was the absolute light of my life. I love seeing joy on their old faces, they become like puppies again 🥹

I lived in YMM for one year and we raised a 9 week old husky pup (Willow) until she was good and ready to be permanently homed. She now has 2 brothers (canine 😂) and is loving life. This has made me well versed in the basics of obedience training.

We love to go on adventures and my husband is always happy to go for a run or jog with the dogs I look after if it's appropriate. My husband is away often for work but when he is around he loves to help out with ANYTHING dog related.

I have been through all the puppy training, I have had lazy dogs, energetic dogs and I love all ages and abilities.
my husband (Jared) is also very well versed with shelter dogs and even professional security dogs (a German Shepard named Jamie). He has worked animal Rescue with more aggressive cases where other handlers were unable. 

we do not currently have any children or pets, a Goldie is the hope for summer 2025, so I will treat your paw child as my own. 

I mostly specialize in pet sitting and boarding services around the northern part of Calgary, at certain times I can drive a bit further so please inquire to find out if I can help you.

I can also provide further testimonials from my client community which is largely referral based, outside of this app.

I can offer 30-40 min walks along the Bow River, or any parks that you prefer for your pupper. I'm very much open to location suggestions and your preferences. If you have a less social dog I can keep dog walks individual - please do not hesitate to let me know your doggie's needs. I typically only do one midday walk per week day in winter and a late morning one in summer months. Slower walks with lots of 'sniff time' for the dogs. I do have a seasonal winter rate that is a bit higher as walks in the extreme cold are a bit more challenging.

As we have a dog run on our property, I have options for more social doggies who want to play and make friends. Especially for doggy day care and/or boarding. It's not a very busy dog run so less social dogs have been totally fine too.

I am perfectly capable of administering oral and injected medications. My old girl Happy was very sick before she passed so I am familiar with ear medications, oral and deworming meds. No 'backside' medications - unfortunately I am not experienced there.

If you are enquiring about dog sitting, I really can give all animals my undivided attention as this is my job. I am there for cuddles, playtime and company for your fur child.

Just a note: due to my living arrangements, for any dog boarding or day care, dogs need to be totally potty trained please. Extremely big dogs will not be suitable to stay at our apartment (Great Dane, very big shepherd breeds, boerbul breeds etc) due to limited space. I'd say the biggest dog size that I can accommodate at home would be comparable to the average female golden retriever. (I'm happy to walk and provide all other listed services for bigger dogs - no problem) . Crates are optional and I'm happy to have dogs sleep in our main bedroom. Just not IN the bed. All dog food and treats to be provided for these 2 services by the owner please (dog boarding and doggy day care)

Currently we stay in university district in a pet friendly apartment. We have dog parks surrounding us. We are a 5 min drive to Edworthy park and a lovely walk along the bow river.

I hope to meet you & your fur baby soon. Meet & greets are mandatory before confirmation of booking to make sure you are completely comfortable with me and visa versa. If you're looking into house sitting/pet sitting combo - I do like to do a day sitting job once (if possible) so your pet becomes more comfortable with me before I'm in their space for a prolonged period of time. So this needs to be organized in advance. There are seasonal rates here too.

I am typically flexible 💜 **^ I can also offer doggie day care at your home where your pet is more comfortable if preferred- this is typically a nice intro before house/pet sitting long term.
