I’ve had a love of dogs ever since I was very little. It all started at the age of 7. At 7 years old I cared for my god fathers dog and took it for walks all the time for fun. I’ll never forget “Tuxie” I loved being around animals and being with a dog was like having a best friend. In my own household I had 2 cats that I cared for till I was 15. Their names were Hocus & Pocus. I loved them with all my heart, I’m just as much as a cat lover as a dog lover.

At 15 I had to change households because my grandma could no longer care for me due to dimentia. So my Sister took me in. They lived on an acreage with 2 BIG dogs. A full-breed husky “Theseus” (who was a lot to handle haha) & a husky malamute sheepdog mix “Seven” (very big & hairy dog). I loved these dogs with all my heart and found that my favourite type of dog was huskies. They are hard dogs to care for so I know how important walks & taking care of them was. Caring for them was a thing I had to do daily. I made sure they had everything they needed and took them on walks on a leash everyday. Theseus was a lot to handle, the reason he needed a leash was because he ran off all the time. However, the nice thing was I got to learn how to train him a bit because of this. I learned the importance of teaching them right from wrong (with treats of course haha). We also had some cats on the acreage and one particular kitten that showed up named “Lynx” who was a house cat that I took care of since she was a kitten. She became a momma cat and had babies on the acreage. Which we helped her take care of. We also had “poochie” who is my favourite cat of all time and acted like a dog lol hence the name haha. I took care of them by making sure they are fed and looked after everyday.

Now today at 22, I don’t have any pets. This is because I am a post-secondary student and can’t afford a pet. I want one really badly and I miss being able to spend time with them. This is why I signed up for Pawshake! So I could fill that gap and spend time with many types of dogs. I care about spending time with animals. I miss my dogs from home and I can’t afford to own my own pet. So Pawshake provides me a place for that.

I live with my girlfriend who I’ve been with for over 7 years. She is just as much as an animal lover as me! I signed up for Pawshake because I have so much free time as well. But with the two of us together at home, it’s like having an extra sitter for free 😁

I have a 1000+sqft 2bed apartment with a balcony & many dog owners in my building. I will spend lots of my time with your pets and will never get bored. I will make sure they are looked after at the highest level and will meet any of your needs. I live in downtown Calgary so I can go for long walks and have access to many dog amenities around me. And you can’t forget about the treats 😏

I will play fun games at the park & at home with your dog (such as fetch, tug of war, frisbee, etc). I love playing tricks and giving treats (such as shake-a-paw, rollover, etc). We will explore new areas that are great for dogs such as EV Dog Park, Roxboro off leash dog park (if trained for off leash), and many other parks/areas around downtown. My favourite dog park to bring them to is Su Higgins Park, one of the best in Calgary. I want to go wherever your dog wants to go.

Your dog will get lots of attention all day long - I can promise that! Being separated from my dogs at home makes me miss spending time with animals, so I can guarantee your dog and I will have a great time together!
