About Kathy
Hey!!! My name is Kathy, I'm 32, female and based in Burnaby Heights. I'm a massive dog lover and although I cannot commit to owning my own dog right now, I'd love to help you with yours! I have extensive experience with small dogs in particular as I was previously a dog owner and my partner Aaron has 4 dogs (crazy house, I know). All 4 dogs are rescue and we would have spent a considerable amount of time caring for these when we lived in Ireland. Along with the 4 dogs, Aaron also owned 2 cats which I've also been heavily exposed to throughout the past few years.
We are a very energetic, outdoorsy couple so you can guarantee your dog is in safe hands and will get the walk they deserve! I'm 5-10 minutes drive from a dog friendly park or Burnaby mountain where I'd aim to adventure with your dog. Once meeting with you, it would be great to understand expectations around exercise to ensure they are sufficiently challenged!
Our apartment is modern, warm and relaxing but lacking a 4 legged tenant. Between myself and Aaron, we are pretty flexible and are able to accommodate your pet during the day and overnight while bringing them for walks throughout the day and cuddling up with them by the tv at night. I'm off Saturday - Monday every week which gives me the additional flexibility to housesit or provide a drop in service during the day if required. We also own a car and can provide services within a reasonable distance.

I didn’t get the opportunity to meet Kathy face-to-face, but she promptly responded to my text messages. Kathy and her husband, Aaron, graciously looked after my chihuahua mix puppy overnight, and communication was seamless. After spending just one day with them, my puppy seems more confident around larger dogs—an unexpected and delightful outcome. I will definitely seek their help in caring for my puppy again!
We are happy to have found a great pet sitter for our puppy Luka! Kathy was responsive, easy to communicate with, and provided a great home for my puppy to board at. We're looking forward to booking more services with Kathy going forward.
