Hi! I’m Mel. I’ve lived in Nogojiwanong/Peterborough for awhile now, & have cared for animals my whole life, and worked with them in various capacities for 2 decades. I have a beloved 15 year-old dog of my own, 4 sweet cats, 2 fun bunnies and 2 adorable rats! I can care for animals of any species, any medical needs, in any weather *that’s safe for them*, & I offer a variety of activities (including running with your higher energy pup!)

My family fostered many cats & dogs when I was growing up. Our house was full of love & many personalities to get to know! As soon as I was able - I sought out opportunities to work with animals myself! I worked at a pet store for 5 years, volunteered with Humane Societies, worked at a doggie daycare & at a horse stable. I volunteered & co-oped at a veterinary clinic, led my own dog to pass a Therapy Dog Evaluation Test, & even ran my own successful animal care business for a few years!

Now - my career path has taken a few turns! I’m a Research Manager, and a parent. I recently decided to ground myself back in working with animals, & making more space & opportunity for myself to walk - which is my favourite thing to do. So, I founded a non-profit animal rescue in the Summer of 2021. This takes up a chunk of my time, & I love it. Now, for the walking.

I enjoy walking, especially with a dog, & especially on trails - I WANT to walk for hours a day. Knowing that I love not only animals, but walking in all weather, can have you resting assured that I am in the best space when spending time with your babies!

🥾 30 minute walk/jog | $25

🥾 60 minute walk/jog | $37

🥾 90 minute walk/jog | $45

🐕 Extra dog = $10/dog for any duration

💖 Keep in mind that the app takes a decent chunk of this, and in addition to the walk time, I spend time on transportation, dressing your pup for the weather and tidying them up after. This is all included in the rate, and does not count toward your walk time. (Ex. $35 for a 60 minute walk includes a FULL 60+ minute walk, and the additional time spent on transportation, getting ready, and clean up)!
