As a dog trainer, I'm passionate about bringing owners closer to their puppies and dogs, and helping them fulfill their pets' physical and psychological needs. Dogs need mental stimulation, like activity and patience training/performance, as much as they need physical exercise. I believe the expression "A tired dog is a good/happy dog," but I believe it requires both physical and mental "tiredness". 

Dog walks with me are more like adventures. They will always get structured on-leash walking time. However, once I have established a relationship with your dog, they will also get safe, supervised, off-leash sniff-aris!  A walk with me is always at least an hour, preferably with some off-leash (fenced and/or closely monitored) socializing/play time somewhere in the middle. Recall training is the first thing I establish with all dogs in my care. 

I've helped families raise their beloved dogs right from puppyhood, as well as helping owners renew their relationship with their older dogs. All ages of dogs benefit from having their humans communicate more clearly and provide more stimulation. I've helped reactive dogs and poorly socialized rescues, and am comfortable around all dogs. 

For reactive dogs, if they can't do socializing yet, then all walks will spend some time focusing on reducing their reactivity. 

My schedule in September is pretty messy, but as of October 2023, I will be available full time for dog walking and dog sitting in Ottawa. I have in-home pet sitting experience. I cannot bring your beloved dog into my home yet, unfortunately, as I currently share my space. When I'm dog sitting your lovely doggos, I will provide more than affection and supervision; they will feel fulfilled, as much as they can while absent from their family.

I have lots of experience cat-sitting and chicken-sitting as well. All pets are welcome. I've been dog-sitting and walking since I was a teenager (prior to 2000), and have been cat- and chicken-sitting for about five years. Officially, I started as a dog trainer a couple years ago.

Please note that $20 per month of any earnings made here will support the Breakfast Club of Canada (or 10% of all earnings if my earnings are above $200).
