Hi there! My name is Cynthia and I am a huge animal lover. Since becoming a pet caretaker in spring 2018, I have worked with a large range of cats and dogs, including puppies, kittens, anxious pets, rescues, those requiring oral medications, pets who eat raw, wet, and dry foods, and elderly dogs and cats. I have worked at Discover Dogs, a store in Vancouver specializing in holistic dog care and nutrition.
I am hoping to put my care and attentive skills to good use taking care of your fluffy loved ones. I would love nothing more than to pet your cat by a rainy window or walk with your dog along a trail! I am mature and responsible, with lots of love and care to share. I have experience with dog training that is science-based and positive reinforcement only.
I offer 30/45/60 minute dog walks, and house visits of usually 30 minutes. Pets will be fed, water changed, litter cleaned, and as much love and affection and playtime as the pets would like! If you have a cat who does not like strangers I can also provide quiet respectful company or keep my visits shorts so as not to disturb them. My services can also include photo/video updates daily, plant watering, bringing in mail, and other housekeeping tasks for no extra charge.
I am fluent in both canine and feline body language, and I know how positively animals respond to a warm, calm, respectful presence. Your pets can peacefully relax in their own home and you can relax knowing they are being well taken care of.
**COVID-19 UPDATE**
I am fully vaccinated and have received both boosters.
Given the current situation, I have adopted some policies for housesitting, home visits, and dog walking to help reduce the potential spread of the virus. I have training in infection control and sanitary hygiene procedures.
At your request, I will:
- remove outerwear at the door and wash my hands thoroughly immediately upon entering
- wash/disinfect doorknobs, light switches, litter scoop handles, alarm buttons, anything else I might touch before leaving
- happily adopt an alternative cleaning/disinfecting procedure if you have one you prefer
- inform you immediately if I am feeling unwell, offer a full refund, and assist in finding a replacement sitter/walker

Cynthia took amazing care of my two cats on a couple of occasions. I came home to a clean house and happy cats.
