My name is Alicia, I am an animal lover, I have high energy, patience and a heart full of love for animals. I
recently moved to Quebec because of my husband's work. My mother tongue is Spanish, but I also speak English. I don't speak French yet, but I understand a little bit and I'm trying to learn. I think that working as a pet sitter is an excellent idea because with animals I can communicate in other ways, I also consider this work as a good way to start getting more involved with the Quebec community and eventually being able to improve my French.
I am a lovely person with animals, for me they are incredible beings that fill us with peace and love, and they deserve to be treated in the same way. All my life I have lived surrounded by animals especially cats (5) and dogs (3) so I consider having many skills in their care. I have been a pet sitter before for family and friends and I enjoyed play and taking care of our furry friend. I have also volunteered to provide care for baby kittens that have lost their mothers until they have had age to be adopted. On the other hand, as part of my master's thesis project, I had the opportunity to work with wildlife animals such as monkeys and raccoons in Costa Rica for 3 years.
Nowadays, we are a family of 3, with my husband we decided to adopt a cat at the beginning of September. Our little guy it's exactly the cat that we wanted. He's lovely, handsome and so smart. Saroo is curious and cautious, at the beginning he will be so scared, he needs time to accept new people or pets at home, but after some time he will approach to you. We live in a building of 4 levels (Apt#1) and for respect to our neighbors and also for our cat,
we accept at home just small and quiet pets that are used to live with cats.
Our apartment is medium size, we have a living and dining room with plenty space, where the pet can move easily, and there is enough space to place the dog's bed (see the photo gallery). We also have a small terrace, wich is the access to the parking place behind the building. We have parks around, perfect to go for a walk or run. One park is around 40 mts from our apt and "Plaines d'Abraham its at 900 mts.
For cats, we allowed them to sleep wherever they want, they could even sleep in our bed :)
In the same way, I am in full availability to make visits to your home to take care of your partner or go for a walk with them. I am an energic person, enjoying walks in parks and would certainly enjoy it very much with a loving companion!
My visits at your place could be 1 hour, it will depend on the needs of the animal. In addition to playing and giving love to your pets, I can give them all the care they require such as feeding them, brushing their fur, cleaning their eyes, ears or cleaning their boxes. I can do also small household chores such as watering your plants and storing your email.
I will go to your place to meet you and your pets before you confirm your booking. I don’t have a car, I will use public transport, for this reason I can’t accept a job if it's too far from Quebec City or not easily accessible with public transport.
Rest assured that I will keep you in touch during my services and I'll send you some pictures of your beloved pets while you are away.
In addition, I don’t have any breed or size preference, I would like to know all about your pet habits and preferences in order to give them the time and care that they may need. I am a responsable person and I will follow the instructions that you give me.
In advance, thank you so much for choosing me to take care of your baby.
Alicia est très gentille et très douce. Naya a l'air d’adorer ces promenades!
Alicia a bien pris soin de mon jeune fox terrier. Je n'aurais aucune hésitation à faire garder Leo chez elle dans le future.
