As a young woman, my passion for animals has been an intrinsic part of my life. Since childhood, I've had the joy of sharing my time with a poodle who lived by my side for an incredible 15 years, growing and aging alongside me. During the challenges of the pandemic, I found solace in the company of animals I adopted: two adorable cats, Lua and Gato, it does mean Moon and Cat (yes, a cat named Cat, which always elicits laughter!), and an energetically vibrant dog named Farofa, in homage to a delicious Brazilian dish. Their presence around me is more than essential, it's energizing. They offer me unconditional love, affection, and a genuine connection. Unfortunately they couldn't come with me to Canada and they stayed with my mother in Brazil.
The ability of animals to communicate with each other and with us in non-verbal ways is something that has always intrigued and inspired me. Observing their behaviors is fascinating, and this curiosity led me to train all of my pets, teaching them commands like "sit," "lie down," "stay," "come," and even the dreaded "bath time." The dedication to this training has not only strengthened our bond but also shown me the intelligence and comprehension abilities that animals possess. The opportunity to combine my passion for animals with training skills is something that motivates me and brings me immense satisfaction.
