The beauty with hiring a house sitter is that your pet remains in a familiar environment where I will ensure they receive the same level of care they are accustomed to. I have owned pets all my life and have been house sitting informally for friends for the last 10 years. In the last 2 years I have joined a renowned house sitting community and have many reviews and endorsements. I am happy to provide testimonials and reviews:) I grew up on a farm and was the barn manager at a competitive riding stable. I have experience administering first aid, managing medication as well as injecting insuline to dogs, cats and horses. I have owned rescue cats and dogs. It’s a wonderful feeling when they come around and start trusting you. I think most pets feel very comfortable around me very quickly because I am calm and never force our interactions and I meet them at their comfort level and build the relationship from there. I have a good understanding of dog training and behaviour. I can continue with your current training methods while you are away to provide your pet with consistency. I can easily adapt to your instructions on how you would like your pet to be handled. I also have a lot of experience with anxious and high energy dogs. I will be mindful of triggers and follow exercise/play requirements. I was also an air bnb super host for many years, so I understand that you want to have someone treat your home with the same care as they would their own. I realize how difficult it is to trust a stranger with your home and your beloved pets. I am very respectful of people’s homes and will keep it spotless in your absence.
