I am an animal lover at heart; I have a soft spot for all animals. I have had cats and dogs most of my life. As a child I had goats, sheep and chickens...but since moving away from a farm, my pets have been mainly cats and dogs, and often rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, a tarantula, turtles and fish added to the menagerie that was my house growing up.

As a teenager rather than babysitting I would pet sit and dog walk, sometimes cat walk as long as the kitty was comfortable on a lead. I have become a teacher for cats to walk on a lead and have helped a lot of owners to leaash train their cats (I have several leads in my home and am happy to share my expertise in this area, first and the most important point; if a cat is unwilling after three home attempts, do not proceed with training, he or she does not like it).

I have fostered for many organisations and I am comfortable with care ranging from bottle feeding kittens to administering medication to seniors. I have successfully given oral and injectable medications.

I stopped fostering only because of a few foster fails. I still support the foster agencies by donating food and supplies as and when I can. I want to continue helping animals and pet sitting is a good way to help eachother and our companions and friends.

In terms of smaller animals - rabbits, guinea pigs...I am comfortable with these pets, from cleaning their cages, giving them cuddles, supervising their runs, and sharing my veggie snacks with them.
