Norma

I am a Colombian veterinarian currently dedicated to pursuing a PhD at UdeM. My passion for animals was nurtured from a young age in a household that deeply valued the presence of pets. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have a diverse range of animal companions, from loyal dogs and curious cats to adorable guinea pigs and even lab mice. These experiences have provided me with a profound understanding of the unique needs and behaviours for each of them. 

Furthermore, I have actively sought to enhance my professional skills by working with hospitalized animals at a veterinary clinic. This invaluable opportunity has allowed me to apply my knowledge and expertise in a practical setting, providing medical care and support to animals in need. Witnessing the resilience and vulnerability of these animals has further motivated me to pursue advanced studies in order to contribute to their well-being on a larger scale.

The current focus of my contributions to animal health lies predominantly in utilizing computer-based approaches. However, this involvement serves as a strong motivator for me to actively seek opportunities that allow me to spend more time with animals
