I have 20+ years experience as a cat owner, and currently have 3 formerly feral cats of my own. I definitely appreciate the importance and peace of mind that comes from knowing your animals are being well cared for while you are away. 

I started fostering and volunteering with local rescue groups in 2012, working primarily with scared and undersocialized cats, and those with behaviour issues. I am currently volunteering with the Vancouver SPCA; and working on a cat training diploma and eventually accreditation as a feline behaviour consultant.

As a cat sitter I typically spend 60 minutes per visit, and like to give the cat(s) some playtime as well as social time, if they are up for it. I believe in keeping the experience as low-stress as possible for the animals, so I try to stick to a predictable schedule for them and respect their needs if they are stressed. I think it's important to learn as much as I can about each individual cat so I can help them be as comfortable as possible while you are away.

I'm comfortable giving oral medication and monitoring cats with ongoing medical issues.
