 As a girl growing up in Scotland I had a love of horses, dogs, cats and birds. Being a veterinarian was my dream until I learned I had to disect a sheeps heart! One of my fondest childhood memories was when I volunteered at our local animal shelter, where I cleaned cages for dogs and cats and got to play with them.

My own dog Bonnie a collie/shepherd cross sadly passed away 2013 at age 14yrs. and Tasha my Siamese cat lived happily for 13yrs. Both are greatly missed. (no current pets)

I worked with the KW Humane society in a volunteer capacity providing fostering, care giving and administering medications.

I also volunteer with Service dogs and thoroughly enjoy seeing how these dogs train and go out to assist individuals. I have been involved with them for over 7 years. This past year I was an adult raiser, which means I had the dog at home until he /she finished training. I found this very rewarding. I continue to help whenever I can. 

All this and having dog sat for friends while they were away, has motivated my interest in working with dogs and other pets. I am not a professional, however I can do basic grooming and training.

I currently work a couple of mornings a week so I am available to look after your companions most days, evenings, and weekends. (Mon & Wed mornings I work till approx 1:30pm other days would be available for for the duration required) 

Dog Walking: 30mins. If you have a specific time you are used to walking your dog. If they prefer to go on longer or shorter walks this can be arranged. Parks, trails, or a specific route you like to take.

Maximum 2 small dogs

Daycare at Sitters home: Drop off from 8am Pick up by 6pm day is dedicated to your dogs.

I live in a large two bedroom air conditioned apartment with a lots green space not fenced. Close to parks and forest trails. It is clean quiet and pet friendly. Guest pets can rest on the dog bed in living room or bedroom, or in the cage in the kitchen area. (Their preference) They have freedom to walk around. I have dog toys available to enjoy interacting with your pet during play. If you prefer to bring your pets favorite toy or blanket which they are familiar with that is good. I live alone so it is very quiet.

Maximum 2 small dogs 

Home Visits: walks 30 mins. Longer or shorter, or a couple of 20mins if prefered. I can walk in your neighbourhood. Perhaps you have a specific route you like to take, then I can walk there. Park or trail if close by. Play with your pet, brush them. 

I am flexible on time between 8am-6pm 

Cats & Birds: This will be a home visit. I will be happy to look in on your lovely feline or bird to ensure they have food and water. Clean their litter or cage. Play interaction. Times can be discussed.

During home visits, I will ensure all gates and doors are closed and locked prior to leaving. 

Dog boarding: 24 hours. Dog has run of the home, bed is set up in living room area or bedroom, crate in kitchen area. They have freedom to walk around. I have dog toys available to enjoy interacting with your pet during play. If you prefer to bring your pets favorite toy or blanket which they are familiar with that is good. 

1 small dog 

For the safety of all pets that are in my home, their vaccination's need to be up to date.
