I am a mature, conscientious person with a life-long love of animals. In my adult life, I have cared for numerous cats & dogs, both my own & others. My varied care experience includes walking, hiking & training, feeding, grooming, playing, medicating and comforting cats & dogs from youth to old age. One of my own dogs(since passed) endured two IVDD surgeries & subsequent physiotherapy afterward. His rehabilitation at home required much physiotherapy to get him walking again & medication to help the process. He recovered well and lived a long, full life. Additionally, I have nursed & given medicine in all forms to my cats(often difficult) including administering medication under the skin to my diabetic cat for several years.

I firmly believe exercise is essential to both physical and mental well-being for both humans & animals and enjoy long dog walks & hikes. I believe responsible pet ownership involves caring for all needs of the animal; mental & physical, to ensure a happy, healthy pet.

I am interested in dog-walking, daycare & pet-sitting/house-sitting. I will only accept vaccinated pets in my home.

 I strongly relate to anxieties pet parents feel when looking for an appropriate pet-sitter. My own dog(a rescue) suffers from separation anxiety when we travel and has not done well in boarding situations so we have a pet-sitter stay overnight with him to relieve his anxiety. This has worked out well and has given us much peace of mind when we need to be away from him.
