As much as I like waking dogs, I love boarding them even more. I've always been good with dogs, and I've only gotten better with them since starting one of the first dog
walking services in Ottawa. It's always fun meeting and getting to know new pups, but it's also great seeing my regular guests' wagging their tails when they come back for another vacation.
Dogs who stay with me get to go on long car rides and super fun off-leash walks in big parks. I believe that a tired dog is a happy dog...and they're easier to look after too :) I've got many dog beds scattered about for post-walk
naps. As dog walking is my day job, pups are rarely left alone, as I take my guests with me. We're out of the house for 5 hours or so in the afternoon on weekdays and about two hours on weekends.
I live in a house with a fenced back yard surrounded by many nice walking paths that are good for relaxed leash walks.
The ideal guest will have good recall skills and be friendly with other dogs. Please bring your crate if your dog needs one, an item from your home if it is their first stay so they'll have a familiar scent, and their own food so that no one's tummy gets upset.
I can certainly provide references if you'd like.
Thank you for considering my services, and I'm sure your dog will thank you!

Alan was fantastic. Good communication and very easy to coordinate everything. Our dog seems to have loved her off-leash walks and playing with the rest of the pack at Alan's. Alan kept in touch with updates with her adjustment, as well as some photos during her stay.
Again thank you Alan! Having this peace of mind while on vacation is priceless!
I've been a self employed dog walker since 1999, and I've picked up a few tricks here and there. I’ve dealt with all sorts of things, so if your dog has any special needs, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
