I am married with 2 adult sons and up until recently we had a Shih Tzu named Bailey.
He was almost 12 and got sick suddenly. We miss him so much and once we have gone through the grieving process, we plan on getting a puppy. I am retired and have always loved animals and pet care is something I have always wanted to try. I believe I have a nack for looking after and communicating with animals, especially dogs.
Since our marriage in 1987, we have owned 3 dogs so far.
All 3 dogs were trained by me and have always been considered part of the family. I trained them to be socialized and to be well-adjusted so that we could take them anywhere. We take our dog everywhere with us on camping trips in our trailer, on weekends away, bike riding etc.
In fact, bailey camped with us in a tent and in all our three trailers during his lifetime. We have also looked after other family dogs for short periods of time. We have a pretty big fenced in back yard and a park
with a dog park close by. Our house is a single dwelling with a basement, main floor and upper floor. It sits on a quiet street and is ideal for walking a dog. The neighborhood is very pet friendly.
I am interested in short-term boarding for one dog at a time.
Your dog will be part of our family for that time and will be included in our family activities, whenever possible.
Since I am home full time, I can offer 2 walks a day of up to 1 hour each. This will vary depending on the needs of each dog.
Your dog can sleep either downstairs or in our room (depending on where it is used to sleeping).
What a GREAT experience my dog had with Maria and her family! She updated me all the time with photos and things he has done during the day. What’s very important is that she trains your dog/puppy as well, which is so good for them to have little boundaries! Recommend her so much! 5 stars all the way
A wonderful lady who took as great a care of our dog as she does her own.
