About Me/ Experience

Hi Im Morgan, a 25-year old post-grad student. I’ve lived in Vancouver for the past 7 years with my Newfie/Border Collie mix “Makoon” who recently moved back to Ontario and I’m missing having some fluffy company! I’m a part-time Nanny Mon-Thurs where I look after an adorable toddler and a 6-year-old Duck Toller named “Tula”. Growing up, my family owned various herding breeds which required special handling including a deaf Border Collie named Kali who required special classes to learn adapted sign language for commands. My own dog Makoon suffered from intense separation anxiety when he was younger so I know how stressful it can be trying to navigate being a pet owner and working/studying/travelling and I want to be the best support I can be to you or your household.

About the Host Space

My partner and I are currently based out of Mount Pleasant in a heritage apartment near beautiful parks and I’m well acquainted with the various dog parks and beaches across the city. We live right next to Jonathan Rogers off-leash dog park as well as many other smaller parks and green spaces. There are currently no pets in my partner and I's home meaning we're able to give all of our attention! We can host small animals, rodents, fish, etc in our apartment and well-behaved dogs. Friday through Sunday your pet will have 24/7 supervision in our apartment and can accommodate any walking, feeding or medication schedule. An important note is that we cannot host cats in our apartment as my partner is allergic. We only host one pet at a time and they are welcome on our furniture and to make themselves comfy anywhere in our space.

Visits, Walks and Check-Ins

I can provide 1-2 check-ins per day after 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday during my work week and 1-3 check-ins Friday-Sunday at any time of day. While I don't have a personal vehicle I live close to both the Skytrain and 99 B-line and can come to you! I can provide short easy walks, runs or more exhaustive hour-long walks depending on your pet's energy level and comfort. I can also provide additional house sitting services such as plant watering.
