Hi there!

I have been housesitting and working with animals on and off over the last 18 years and before that, grew up in a farming family in New Zealand. I also work in the creative industries (performing arts) and love to travel, so the flexibility of pet sitting works really well for me.

I am currently based in Vancouver and am available around fixed-term contracts throughout the year. Please note that due to the transient nature of my working life, I am currently unable to take pets into my home.

My experience includes working in pet boarding facilities, one which my family owned and another during my university years, as well as two years of full time employment in a veterinary practice with an attached cattery in Melbourne, Australia. My clinic duties were centred around reception and puppy preschool, as well as cat boarding and some general nursing.

Having cared extensively for pets in both the boarding and home environments, I appreciate that most pets are happiest at home. My priority is your pets and keeping as much of their routine in place as possible while you are away, while also managing anything you might need done around the house such as collecting mail, watering the garden etc. As the majority of my bookings in recent years have come through my employment, I do not yet have reviews on this platform, however can supply you with written references upon making our initial contact.

The pets I have taken care of in the past have ranged from young puppies still completing their training at the veterinary practice, anxious/nervous first-timers, elderly pets with ongoing health issues as well as multiple pet families and high-maintenance exercise/medication schedules.

I firmly believe in making sure you and your pets will all be happy and comfortable with me around before we commit to anything. I look forward to meeting you and your fur-family!
