Hello! My name is Carlie and I am a 23 year old university graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cultural Anthropology. I am fluent in English and conversationally fluent in Spanish. My passions include travelling, reading, learning languages, and spending time with friends.

I have several years of experience pet sitting for friends and would like to start doing it professionally. I have had a passion for animal welfare for many years, which has led me to volunteer with various animal welfare organizations. I completed the Youth Ambassador Program with the Calgary Humane Society and have also volunteered with AARCS (Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society) as a cat caregiver and special events volunteer.

I love all breeds of cats and dogs and have a lot of patience when it comes to shy and nervous dogs. The large dog pictured above is very nervous and as a result is not great socially with people or other dogs, and when I first met him I couldn't even go near him without him growling or nipping at me. However, with lots of hard work and patience we have been able to build some trust and are now great friends - I am one of the very few people that can pet and physically interact with him. He is one of my favourite dogs and I make sure to give him lots of love whenever I see him!

I am pursuing pet sitting as a part time job because of my love for animals as well as

for the health benefits that are associated with caring for animals.

I don't have any pets of my own and I am definitely in need of some new furry friends! At this time the only service I offer is home visits, for both cats and dogs.

I can provide anywhere from a quick half an hour check-up on your pet up to an hour long visit if your pet is in need of some more serious TLC! During these visits I can feed your pet, make sure they have clean water, empty litter boxes, let them outside, and of course give them lots of cuddles. I can also walk them during this time - walks would be in the 10-20 minute range depending on the weather, client preference and how quickly your pup gets tired. My availabilty is generally weekdays before 11am and after 7pm. My weekend availabilty varies with my work schedule but I will always update my calendar to reflect this.
