Hello! My name is Linley and I am offering pet-sitting services in Westmount and surrounding areas.
I am currently doing my Master’s at McGill where I study boreal insect communities. Due to my field work schedule and living arrangements, I can not commit to having my own pet at this time! However I love being around animals and I often pet-sit for friends due to my flexible schedule outside of the field season.
My hope is that by joining Pawshake I can earn some extra income during grad school and spend more time in the company of animals! Most of my former pet-sitting experience has been with cats, however I grew up with a dog and am more than happy to incorporate your dog in my daily walks :) especially as I am new to Montreal and would love an excuse to get to know other neighbourhoods ! I am willing to travel up to 30 minutes from Westmount (Vendome Station) and my visits are between 30 minutes and an hour unless otherwise discussed. I can also water your plants, take out your garbage or any other home-sitting task while I’m around!
I also used to own a snake and currently take care of a tarantula at McGill so I am really comfortable taking care of exotic pets as well as the more conventional cats and dogs :)
If you are interested in my services, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Unfortunately I do not speak French well enough to offer bilingual service at this time.
Look forward to hearing from you and playing with your precious pets :)
Linley helped us during a week of schedule changes when we wanted to make sure our dog was able to adjust with our new routine. Linley asked all the right questions when preparing for her walks with our pup. As someone who walks my dog all the time, there are small habits I know about and adjust for, but wouldn’t necessarily remember unless asked. At the end of the week I could tell my dog had adjusted to our new routine and that Linley’s care and attention helped with the transition. Linley’s calm presence is just what my high energy and sometimes over excited dog needed in order to know that everything was okay.
