UPDATE:
Dear client and doggo guests
The COVID situation has meant that we have been without doggo guests for far too long!
Most of you know that Neil and I really enjoy having dogs around and also the flexibility of travelling.
With no dog guests and no travel we have finally made the decision to become pet parents again.
We are expecting a puppy in our home this summer, so we are sadly shuttering our business for the summer.
Many thanks to all our wonderful families who trusted us with your precious bundles of joy.
If we decide to open up shop again, we'll let you know.
It has been a pleasure taking care of your doggos! Stay safe.
Kind regards
Sandi & Neil Barber

Hi there
We are Sandi and Neil and are crazy about dogs! Until recently we were parents to Bella, a 17-year-old Bichon-Poodle . We have had pets all our lives - mainly dogs but also cats, gerbils, hamsters, fish and horses. We have owned a wheaton terrier, maltese and two bichon-poodles. We also foster rescues that include a Fort-Mac fire evacuee named Gideon, a blue healer named Buddie, and helped raise a rottie-boarder collie puppy named Oakley.
We are retired. Our home is pet-friendly, and dogs can roam freely anywhere in it. They are part of our family! We have a large enclosed back yard for your dog to romp in. In the summer we put up a wading pool for them to cool off in too! During the winter and summer we like to take dogs to the off-leash and on other outings (with your permission of course!)
We are also a very active retired couple. We live near the river valley with access to great walking paths suitable for little less active dogs and larger more active dogs. We are in close proximity to the Laurier and Terwilliger off-lease parks. We drive a large Durango Dodge suitable for taking dogs out and about.
Neil has his pet first-aid certification. We are familiar with caring for ill animals and are able to administer medication to your pet if needed.
We prefer dogs that need doggie daycare, dog walking or home dog boarding. Medium and small breeds preferred.
Please note:
-we are unable to take large breeds with long hair that sheds.
-home visit rates are dependent on your location from our home with extra charges outside the 5km range of our west end home
Home visit and walks will last from 45 minutes to an hour.
We'd love to take care of your dog!

When Dante came home from staying with Sandi and Neil, he moped the first eve...not sure how happy he was to be home...obviously they made him feel completely loved. Dante was treated to lots of walks, cuddles and care. We felt very lucky to have found such a loving place for him to be while we were away.
I had to go away for almost 2 weeks and was worried about finding someone to look after my 5 month old puppy. That’s a long time for any dog, especially a rambunctious teething puppy on the winter! So I found Sandi and Neil. They did an excellent job of taking care of my baby! They sent me regular updates, gave him lots of love, cuddling, games, walks and attention, put up with his chewing and it sounds like he had a great time. I would definitely recommend their services to everyone! Thanks again:)
