Having a calm and respectful relationship with animals is my priority! I work from home as an artist and have a very flexible schedule - great for impromptu walks and accomodating busy schedules. My location is right near Yonge/Bloor and U of T - easily accessible but I also own a vehicle for dog sitter pick ups and park excursions. I have valid licence, clean abstract, am bondable.
Home setting is a cozy downtown flat shared with my dog, cat and husband, there is no free access to yard but many parks neaby (including many offleash) for supervised walks. It is important to me that your pet feels respected. I will not force your pet to do anything they aren't comfortable with, and it's my aim to minimise any nervous feelings when they are away from their home. I love sharing my home with animals and I will make your pet as happy and comfortable as possible when you're away. I have extensive experience with a huge variety of breeds and strive to get to know their individual personalities - mutual respect is key!

Second time Kalynn has taken care of my two cats and they just love her. She makes them feel very relaxed. She is very thoughtful and reliable. I highly recommend her.
From the meet and greet moment I could see that Kalynn would take great care of my two cats. One of my cats is very scared and he was quite relaxed in her presence when she first approached him, because she really knows how to relate with them. She sent me detailed daily updates and pictures when I was away, and always answered my messages quickly. She took really good care of them and they were very well when I came back home. I would definetly recommend her.
I have previous professional experience both as a dog daycare worker and professional dog walker (on leash, off leash, group walks) and have been certified in veterinary CPR and first aid. I am a proponent of positive reinforcement, will encourage your pet to engage in polite manners with a reward of your choosing - treats, play time, pets. I am happy to accomodate off leash walks and playtime if you choose, but I expect your pet to have good recall and social manners to avoid problems. I am comfortable using any gear you require for your pet - carriers, flat collar, martingale, harnesses - front or back clipping, ezwalk, step in, etc., flexilead, gentle leader, socks pawz or boots, coats, jackets - I have used all these types of products so feel free to send your pet with whichever gear they prefer! Please note however that I will not use a shock or bark collar, a slip lead or a prong collar - no exceptions.
Should you require something extra, please ask me - I am comfortable giving food or medications, can water your plants or take your pet to an appointment. I can brush if that's something they like, and am happy to give a bath if they end up rolling around in something or get muddy but I cannot groom your pet - no haircuts :) I will also strive to use the commands that your pet is familiar with and am happy to continue working on something that you're trying to teach them - especially puppies! I am familiar with puppy training such as potty training and bite inhibition but please keep in mind I cannot provide obedience lessons.
