Experience:
-Qualified in Pet First Aid with the St. John Ambulance British Columbia and Yukon Council;
-Experience administering medication to dogs & cats both orally and via injection;
-11+ years on Pawshake (check out my reviews!) and a lifetime of caring for a variation of pets (my own, and other peoples'!)
Notes for new clients:
-Please note that I do not host any pets at my house. All services take place in your home only;
-My rates are based on the assumption of care for 1 or 2 pets. I will charge a small additional fee per day, on top of my advertised rate, for pet sits for more than 2 animals (currently £5 per pet per day.)
Levels of service:
-Dog walking – You can choose the distance & route (30 mins. max);
-Once/twice daily visits – You can choose the length (30 mins. max) Each visit can include anything your pet needs and is used to.
-Overnight stays (weekends/holidays only) - I can stay overnight at your home and offer round the clock care for your pet.
Other things to note:
-All services include email/text updates to the pet owner, along with pictures. I can also provide additional home-related services such as retrieving your post, putting out/bringing in bins, watering your plants, etc.

TL;DR - awful experience would never hire again. Rosie caused damage to our house costing us over £500. At least Pawshake will give us 50% refund of the bookings.
We went on holiday abroad for 2 months. We hired Rosie for two days a week. £16 per visit. To look after 3 cats in a house (two floors).
Pros: our cats didn’t die. She fed them the way we told her to. She sent photos of our cats 80% of the time. Our cats looked fine on the photos, nothing to be concerned about at the time (until we got home). She locked our door correctly (difficult secure lock) and didn’t steal anything.
Cons: according to Rosie, at every visit she said everything was fine. And we believed her. When we got home, our entire house REEKED of pee. The stench was so strong me and my wife almost vomited. In our living room we had a play mat for our baby set up and our cats peed on it over a long period of time. We had to throw it away. The pee penetrated through the mat and deeply stained the carpet. Upstairs was a nightmare. Poo on the stairs, bed full of poo. We have an expensive mattress that is ergonomically designed for better sleep posture, and the stains were so bad on it that we were forced to throw it away. Our pillows and sheets too.
What happened was that Rosie did not add enough cat sand to the litter. Also, she wore her shoes in our home, which we told her to take them off (shoes visible in the photos she sent us). Also for one photo she took it upstairs in one of our rooms, and we told her not to go up the stairs. She used our upstairs toilet a few times as well, when we came home the toilet was covered in stains.
We had to hire professional cleaners to deeply clean our entire house. In total we have spent over £500 in damages to our house.
Had Rosie told us in advance that we needed more cat sand trays or that she needed to visit more often we would have had no problem sorting that out. She was the one that came to our house and ignored all the problems, expecting us to return and not say anything. This is ridiculous, completely irresponsible.
Be warned, I don’t want the same to happen to you
Rosie is fantastic. Very friendly and communicative and clearly a caring person who loved animals. She bonded with our cat straight away and kept us up-to-date at all times. We’re very glad we’ve found her and would highly recommend.
