My name is Caitlyn, I have studied and lived in Toronto for a little over 9 years, but grew up in a small town called Erin. Growing up, I have owned four dogs of four different breeds (3 have been medium/large breeds and one small breed) and played a major role in caring for them, as they were incredibly significant to our family. That being said, living on my own in the city without these dogs has been difficult at times because caring for these pets becomes such an integral part of your life. That's just part of what inspired me to become a member of the Pawshake community a little over a year ago. I would love to step in to care for your furry family members when you feel obligated to leave them at home. Since then I have met a ton of amazing pet owners.
Currently my landlords prohibit me from owning a cat or dog due to their severe allergies, as an aspiring pet owner I would love to get to know your pet because as I get to know your pet I will quickly learn to be sensitive to your animal's unique cues, and needs. I am available for dog-walking and/or house visits because I work part-time as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), in this role I work a split shift. Meaning that during the day between 10 am - 2 pm I am readily available to travel and attend to your pet during the day. I love my job, but sometimes I need a break, or even just a walk. That walk would be much more enjoyable if I had your pet to accompany me. In terms of pet/house sitting, if you require my services for overnight I need a minimum of 1 week's notice before the date that you need me for, but 2 weeks notice is highly preferred. To sum up, I love pets and their role in our lives so much that I have even stepped in and cared for roommate's pets when their needs were being neglected, as I am not someone who can simply leave an animals needs unmet (Note: the picture of the cat is said roomate's maine coon). If you consider me as your pet sitter and provide me with all of the important information about your animals; in my case I find that the more details on your pet's care and personality the better, I will ensure that your pets are well-cared for. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! Info on the Photos: #1: My family's second dog Brody (Medium/large dpg, Golden doodle). #2: Third family dog, Sophie (medium dog, english shepherd) #3: Roommate's Maine coon, Roo. #4: Brody #5: Roo #6: Brody #7: Newest member of my direct family's pack, his name is Charlie (small dog, mixed breed).8
*Safety first: If you consider me as your pet sitter, please ensure that I can see a profile picture of you and your pet(s). It really helps me as the sitter feel safe, if I know you're a real person. Thank you for understanding.
I'd happily hire Caitlyn to take care of my cat again. She responded quickly, was reliable and asked the questions she needed to know, and took the time to play with my cat as well as feed her and scoop the litter. My cat didn't have any special needs so I can't speak to that, but I was happy with the experience.
Caitlyn is absolutely amazing!!! I have had her care for my babies many times with home visits, walks and also house sitting for longer periods. Every time I return home my pups are happy and seem well loved and cared for. Actually sometimes I think they are sad that have returned because their time with Caitlyn has been so wonderful. She is a great communicator and I would definitely recommend her. Thanks Caitlyn!
