I am a Molecular Scientist that loves cats and dogs. I grew up with both of them and miss having them around. Because of my previous job schedule, I was not able to dedicate my time to have them around.
I live alone and on weekends my boyfriend, another animal lover, spends the weekend with me.
Now, I get to work from home. On those days, I take my sister's dog (short hair pointer) for a walk during my lunchtime. Besides taken care of my sister's dog, I have taken care of my friend’s small dog and my brother in law friend’s dog as well.
I like to take them during lunchtime for about an hour of walk to Sherwood park since I live 5 minutes away from it. There, they can run and play in ample green space and breath amazing fresh air. At home, I am around all day :). I like them to feel like they are at home so they usually roamed around the living room, kitchen and guest room.
When I am taking care of them throughout the whole day, I like to walk them 3x a day; once in the morning of about 20 min, at lunchtime at least an hour and after work another hour that way they get enough exercise and time to do their necessities.
When left with me for longer than a full day ( a weekend or more), I like the owners to give me a list of things to do and what not to do, such as if they are allergic to certain foods, how sociable they are with other dogs, do they have all their shots to go in the park , etc. If possible I like to do a trial run ( of an hour ) free of charge, of course, to ensure the pet is comfortable staying with me.
Pets have their own personality and preferences of toys bed and food. If staying overnight at my place I prefer the owner brings his/her pets bed, toys, and food.
If the owner prefers, I take care of their pets at their own place, I will gladly do it. Unfortunately, I can do this only on weekends. There, of course, I will follow the owner's instruction and again walk them at least 3X a day or as what the owner prefers. If the owner prefers someone to sleep there with his/her pet, I am open to discussion. The charges for that is $60/ day.
Animals have a sense who likes them and who doesn’t. They are the best judge of character and you will see when you bring them to me, how happy I can make them.
It will be a privilege to look after your pet. I will take care of your pets as they were my own babies.
Lily was amazing with my shy little cat and I came home to a happy and relaxed little girl. She was great
