I love animals and find it a joy to spend time with them. I have been vegan for over 20 years for animal rights and environmental reasons and have cared for rescued animals, including dogs, chickens, and cats.

Recently I just finished a PhD in Gender Studies and have worked in the domestic violence sector for 10 years, I am looking to do casual work that is less stressful and I find dog walking and taking care of animals replenishing for the heart. Catsitting in house and boarding has gotten me through writing my dissertation.

I am responsible, caring, reliable, communicative, and I would often send photos updates to pet parents.

I have lived with many cats, helped to train a friend's dog play catch, and I haven't met an animal I didn't like. When I meet my friend's cats or chinchillas for the first time, they would often tell me that it's unusual that they are this warm and friendly to new people. They are instantly calm and don't feel threatened by me. I joke about how it's probably because they can sense that I wouldn't eat them!

I speak Mandarin and English, I grew up in Aotearoa New Zealand and did my PhD studies in Toronto. I have lots of experience dog walking and cat sitting in both places! I can also speak a bit of Te Reo Māori, and can do simple commands for dogs in the Māori language.
