*** I'm a cat sitter only, I don't work with dogs****
I offer home visits to the Kanata and Stittsville areas.
I'm a major cat lover with five of my own cats, all are rescues. I volunteered with the Arnprior Humane Society for five years as their Website Administrator, served on the Board of Directors, and fostered cats for them. I can often be found watching cat videos, reading cat magazines, photographing cats or updating my cat's Facebook page. I know a lot about cat behaviour and specialize with shy/feral cats. A lot of my clients say that I'm a cat whisperer and they're amazed that their shy/timid cat comes right up to me and lets me pet them.
As of 2019, I have been cat-sitting for four years. Your cat will be in good hands while in my care which allows you to take a stress-free vacation. I send daily photo updates to give you peace of mind that your kitty is doing well.
In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking, reading (especially with cats), scrapbooking, and travelling. Each year I take a volunteer vacation to volunteer at an animal rescue in a foreign country.
I am Level 1 and Level 2 certified in first aid from the Ottawa Humane Society. I don't charge any extra fees to administer medications. I take care of several diabetic cats and am able to inject insulin.
I work full-time as a tech support manager in the high-tech industry so visits are often done early in the morning before I start work at 8am. I also offer evening visits but times might be more staggered. I check my Pawshake emails in the evenings Monday to Friday and during the day on weekends. If you message during these times, I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Excellent knowledge of cats; friendly and on time.
So happy to have found Belinda! Jimmy was in good hands while I was away.
