Welcome to my profile!
Career-wise, I am a substitute teacher on the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Aside from teaching, I volunteer one day a week at an elementary school in Stittsville.
At home, I have a beautiful long-haired cat named Louie. My fiancé and I adopted him from the SPCA in 2015. I am most certainly a "crazy cat mom!” I also have a dog named Charlie but he is back in New Brunswick currently living with my parents. I have always considered myself to be an animal person, I believe they bring so much joy and love into a person's life.
I am very kind and gentle when it comes to interacting with all animals. Take my cat Louie for instance, he is very shy and takes some time warming up to new people, so I remind everyone to be patient with him. When meeting a new animal I will often allow the animal to greet me first and I will proceed at their pace.
I have administered oral medication to my cat on several occasions. As long as I am provided instruction on your pet’s needs, there will be no problems. I have also recently learned to administer insulin to diabetic cats, so that is something else I am comfortable doing.
I look forward to meeting you & your furry family member(s)! Please send me a message and we can get to know one another.
