Hi my name is Jackie.

I am a retired teacher who loves animals so I am offering my services as a cat sitter and dog walker.

I believe animals are innocent creatures who deserve our help and care.

I am responsible, caring and trustworthy.

In addition to being a cat mom, I am a mom of 3 grown children and grandmother of 4.

I lovingly looked after a colony of feral cats for 7 years on a daily basis in all kinds of weather; these cats were located in a different neighborhood which was about a fifteen minute drive from my house. There were many challenges with this because some of the people in that area did not want them around.

I provided the cats with food, water, shelters and veterinary care, such as spaying and neutering and other medical care, all out of my own pocket.

My sole motivation for doing this was to help them and give them as good a life as possible.

I was also a volunteer at the OSPCA where I was a foster parent to cats, I walked dogs, groomed the cats and played with them, cleaned the rabbit room and played with the rabbits.

I currently share my home with my precious cats, some of whom I rescued from my colony and from a hard life on the streets.

I am an experienced cat sitter who has provided loving care for other people's cats and I have repeat customers.

I have also cared for dogs, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, birds, and fish.

I know how precious our pets are to us and I will take excellent care of your cats.

I will visit your cats in your home where I will feed them, wash their dishes, provide them with fresh water daily, clean their litter boxes and play with them and provide them with cuddles and petting (as much as they are comfortable with). I know cats are different and some like more petting and playtime and some are more shy and may just want to watch me from a distance at first.

I want to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible.

If your pet likes to be brushed I will be happy to do this. I will also send you daily pics and texts or emails about your pet. If you need me to do anything else for your pet, please let me know. It is a pleasure and a privelege to take care of animals.

I will also bring in the mail, water plants and put out garbage and recycling.

I will be available to visit your pets from 11am (perhaps a bit earlier, if necessary) to the evening for a 30 minute visit each time.

I have a current police check, vulnerable sector.

My rate includes up to 3 cats. For more than 3 cats I will charge an extra $5 per cat per visit. This is because the visit takes more time.

If the distance to your home is more than 5 kms from my home, I will charge an extra 50 cents per km to help with the cost of gas.

I am also available to walk small to medium well behaved dogs. I had dogs when I was younger and now I am a dog grandma. I sometimes take care of and walk my daughter's small dog.
