I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds! I am the proud mamma of a fun loving Newfie, a sweet tuxedo cat, and have owned other dogs and cats as well. I have experience working in animal welfare and rescue, where I help care for a multitude of animals on a regular basis. I have also developed animal welfare programming and pet sitting resources for local rescues. I understand the individual needs and play styles of your pets and will strive to meet these needs during every visit!
Do you have a low energy or senior pet who just needs a little bit of company while you’re away? Or a high energy pet that loves puzzle toys? No problem! I am also very comfortable with shy pets, and can work with dogs that are still learning good play manners! Your pet’s safety is of the utmost importance to me.
Please let me know before the first visit if your pet(s) has/have any: - Dietary restrictions - Medical concerns/exercise restrictions - Reactivity to other animals/people - Training cues that you’re working on! Be sure to let me know if your pet has a favourite toy, game, or walking path too! Need some extra reassurance while you’re at work or away? No need to worry - I’ll send lots of photo updates during the visit at your request! Think we would be a good match? Send me a message!

Sydney was great with my former feral cat with personality. She had no issue with some of her more interesting quirks and antisocial tendencies. I was particularly impressed that when, on one visit, my smoke detector was sounding for a low battery and I wasn't immediately available, she went back later that day once we'd connected to swap in my spare so it didn't stress out the cat for longer than necessary.
We’re so grateful we found Sydney to take care of our shy cat. It went smoothly and without complications, couldn’t be more satisfied with the whole experience. She also fed our fishes and watered our plants which was awesome. Our cat got used to her quicker than we expected which I guess says it all!
