Hi there! I’m Maria, an animal lover and Environmental Science student at the University of Waterloo. My love for nature and animals goes hand in hand, and caring for pets is something that’s always come naturally to me. I’ve been around animals my whole life and have looked after dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Whether it’s feeding, walking, administering medication, or just being a comforting presence, I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet and making them feel safe and cared for.

I currently work part-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide dependable, one-on-one care during weekdays, weekends, and even holidays. I’m happy to work around your schedule; whether you need daycare while you’re at work, overnight boarding, or just a quick drop-in visit.

Your pet will be staying in a warm, pet-friendly home that I share with my dog Louis, a very friendly and gentle Beagle × Chihuahua mix. We have a securely fenced backyard, cozy indoor areas, and easy access to some great local walking spots like Riverside Park, Coronation Field, and Trico Drive Park - perfect for active pups who love exploring new places.

While your pet is in my care, you can expect:

• Feeding and routines followed exactly as needed
• Medication or supplements administered if required
• Safe walks, playtime, and calm indoor rest
• Thoughtful attention based on your pet’s unique personality

I take the time to understand each animal’s individual needs; whether your dog is shy, energetic, senior, or somewhere in between, they’ll be treated with patience, respect, and genuine affection. I only accept vaccinated pets to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone in the home.
