As an animal lover, I completely understand that you want to entrust your pets to someone who is reliable and will take care of your pets as their own. Because I love animals so much, I have centered my time and career around them. I am a Certified Pet Massage Therapist and work as a Veterinary Assistant at a Clinic in Langley. It’s a bit of a commute from North Vancouver where I live, but I love working with animals and helping them feel better! I work at the clinic in Langley 4 days a week starting at 10am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and have a flexible schedule otherwise. I also have my Walks and Wags Pet First Aid and CPR training. I also know Animal Acupressure and Reiki.
I have my own pets; my 2 “foster-fail” cats, Karma (4 yrs) and Batman (less than 1 yr old), my Pug, Lola (15 yrs) and a Siamese fighting fish named Mr Peppercorn. I feed my cats and dog raw food, and am comfortable handling it. We are experienced with fussy kitties as well, as my hubby and I also foster cats and kittens through Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA). I am also a volunteer cat vaccinator for VOKRA.
At 38 years of age, I have a lot of experience with pets as I have been surrounded by pets all of my life and grew up having my own dogs, cats, hamsters, a rabbit, a budgie, finches, turtles, lots of fish, even a scorpion and some reptiles (Anoles and Leopard Gecko)! When I was in my 20’s, I worked in a pet store for 5 years and have taken care of many pets-to-be. I also had a horse sanctuary next door where I grew up and I took care of my own leased horse there and did Trail Guiding at a local Trail Riding Stable.

Susan took wonderful care of my very old cat - the photos she provided were a relief, and clearly showed that my cat already adores her after one cat sitting! She was patient and very communicative, and showed great concern for him. We had excellent communication about his eating habits and personality, and it was a weight off my mind to know that someone that caring, and who pays that much attention, was looking after my giant gentle old man.
Susan did an amazing job looking after our rabbit while we were away!
