NOTE ABOUT THE CURRENT GLOBAL CIRCUMSTANCES -
for anyone in need of a pet sitter but worried about the measures we take i would just like to assure you that my household is practicing self isolation - we are not using public transport or going into closed public spaces and we have a protocol in place to stay safe.
please feel free to contact me if you fall ill and require hospitalization and/or quarantine within the next few months, I will be happy to care for your dogs during that time if you are not able :)
I am English/French, I'm 26 yo and work a lot from home. I live in a big apartment with an outdoor area in the Vieux-Rosemont, 5 mins away from Parc du Pelican and Parc Lafond (which both have quiet dog parks) and 25 mins from Parc Maisonneuve. I love spending time outside with dogs, going for long walks and letting them off their lead in dog parks (if that's something you yourself do) I think it's great to let dogs interact and play with each other in a safe and open air environment. I am a very caring and calm person in life, so dogs respond very well to me.
I have been looking after dogs, playing with them, cleaning them, walking them, and loving them since I was 5. I grew up on a farm with 6 dogs, two of which were mine - a cocker-spaniel that I trainedand a sheepdog I cared for. My last 4 years in England, I looked after a clever whippet and a naughty Dalmatian from when they were puppies. We would go for long walks, and because we had such a trusting relationship, I would let them off their leads and play catch in the big parks in London. Both were male dogs and both had specific dogs they interacted aggressively with, so I was always aware of other dogs surrounding us and never let them off their leads if it wasn't appropriate.
I have experience in basic dog training (simple commands such as sit, come, stay), I go for long walks and make sure I get them to run/exercise during those walks by playing catch (when appropriate), running/cycling with them if thats something they enjoy, or just letting them play with other dogs. I also have experience with dogs suffering from seperation anxiety. At the moment, I'm walking a sweet and soft pitbull crossed great dane twice a week and do doggie day care every tuesday for a big weimaraner (braque de weimar) who has separation anxiety. I've had many different dogs stay with me for 2 to 10 nights: barbets, labradors, weimaraner, shiba, rottweiler and the pitbull I walk regularly. I love doing doggie daycare in my home, I'd be able to have your dog for a full day and take it for a couple of walks. I can also do drop-in visits and have lots of space to have dogs for long periods of time!
I'm also happy to have your cat for any period of time, I grew up with two cats so they are no strangers to me!
Did I mention I have an infinite love for dogs? Please feel free to message me if you need to know anything else about me! I'll look forward to meeting you and your pet!
