Hi,
I'm Elliott! I have been pet-sitting through Pawshake for about 4 years now, and have been taking care of my own pets for much longer! I moved to Vancouver 6 years ago to attend UBC and sadly left behind my rescue dog (Bondi) who stayed with my family. I joined Pawshake to help cope with missing them and have had a great experience! I have had pets my entire life and have been active in their care and training. I currently foster cats through VOKRA and have become experienced with socializing scared or feral cats and kittens through it. I’ve cared for cats aged 5 weeks to 19 years, so I am comfortable with a lot of personalities, needs, and behaviours :)
My schedule is fairly flexible, and I am available most weekdays in the day and weekend evenings. My apartment only allows one pet so unfortunately, I’m not able to offer pet boarding at the moment. But I am happy to visit your pets in your home, and am happy to drive dogs out of the neighbourhood to some more exciting places for a walk! Minimum stay for visits: 45 minutes.
About me: I'm 23, and recently started back at school to be a nurse. Before that I worked as a support worker for adults with disabilities. I also do health research at UBC part-time. In my free time, I like playing board games, reading, and I do some LGBTQ+ activism work.

Elliott took great care of our cat while we were away this week. He was easy to chat with and obviously has a great deal of experience with cats and loves spending time with them. I really appreciated the text and photo he sent too - I could clearly see that Buddy was very relaxed. I will be booking another session with him for next month too. Thanks Elliott!!
Elliott has been a lovely and reliable cat sitter. Our cat didn’t show any signs of stress, he received all the cuddles and the care he needed. Litter and bowls were perfectly cleaned, food cans rinsed and sorted in the blue box. Couldn’t be more happy and satisfied than that! We will surely count on him again.
I've been taking care of my own pets throughout my life, and I've been fostering cats through VOKRA for 3 years. I'm willing to help train your animals. I have some experience with training my own dogs (I attended puppy kindergarten, obedience, and agility classes with them and read a lot of puppy books), and I've helped train some friends' dogs, as well.
I'm able to give medication (eyedrops, oral medicine, injection, etc.) to dogs and cats, as I've had practice with my own pets.
