Being a huge dog lover and fond of cats as well, I like to be more around them. I have had a Great Pyrenees mix and miss him enormously, but 2 years ago we got a rescue Staffordshire/Retriever mix who is 3 years old now. Her name is Emma and she is an amazing very friendly dog. She loves people and is very good with other dogs and cats. We have a cat named "Cosmopolitan" and we call her Cozmo. She is a special character! Being retired (since 2021) makes my schedule very flexible during mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I have trained my dogs successfully and try to do that with other dogs as well. A simple sit and no jumping are what I try to do when I meet them (to be honest: not always immediately successful), but I like to try.

I have a Dutch background and worked internationally, but live now for more than 15 years in Calgary area. Have worked hard in several roles and dare to say that I am very reliable. Once agreed on something, it is written in stone for me.

What you generally can expect during the booking:

— At least 1 photo update per visit or day

— Follow instructions given by the owner

— Keeping in contact with the owner regarding changes with the pet

— Feeding the pet as required

— Access to fresh water

— Giving basic medication

— Pets are kept in a hygienic condition; any messes of the pet will be cleaned up

— Any keys (if applicable) will be handled as instructed by the owner

— Sitter will be always the only person at the house, unless otherwise agreed with the owner

Dog walking – from 30 minutes:

— Walking and spending that time with the dog (depending on the weather)

— No off-lead play unless allowed by the owner and in an appropriate area

— Walking equipment, poop bags and a towel will be provided by the owner

— Dog is left in an area stipulated by the owner upon return

Home visits – duration 1 hour:

— Price includes the care of up to 3 pets

— Cats: clean the litter and spend time with the cat

— Dogs: see dog walking, including playing

— Collecting mail and taking out the garbage (if required)

— Clean up any mess made by the pets (puppies/senior dogs)

— Owner or friend/family will be returning home to the pets each day

House sitting – duration 24 hours:

— Price includes the care of up to 3 pets

— Dogs: multiple walks and physical exercise (as agreed with owners)

— Dogs and cats have space to move around, not to be tied up or kept in a crate (except sleeping) for long periods of time

— Housekeeping: collect mail, water plants, put out garbage bins on collecting day

— Clean up to the same condition as when sitter arrived

— There will be a clean and tidy house with clean/fresh bedding for the sitter
