ABOUT ME:  

My name is Myrto (she/her), I am 22 years old and I am a recent graduate of the University of Toronto. I grew up surrounded by pets (mostly cats) and currently work as an assistant at a vet clinic here in Toronto, which has allowed me to become familiar with a lot of different kinds of pets, from puppies and kittens to seniors! I love animals with all my heart and firmly believe in providing them with the best care possible using Fear Free methods. I allow pets to get to know me on their terms, and know when to step back and respect their boundaries. I can administer medications orally if needed, and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty if you have a senior who needs a little extra special care. I am comfortable with walking dogs of all sizes, but no more than 2 dogs at the same time. I look forward to getting to know your pets and helping out with their care!

LOCATION:

My feet and the TTC are unfortunately my only means of transportation, so I am most likely to accept in-house bookings that are within walking distance or close to a subway station. Since I am located in downtown Toronto, I will most likely not accept bookings in Scarborough or North York. Sorry! 

IN-HOUSE VISITS (CATS):  

Will usually be 30-45 min to an hour long (duration is up to what your cat needs!), either once or twice a day depending on what you would like. I will clean your kitty's litterbox, make sure they have clean water and enough food and sit around to play, cuddle and give them as much love as they want without overwhelming them or invading their personal space when they do not want ot be interrupted. I also have experience with giving oral medication to cats, if required.  

DOG WALKING:

I will take your pup on an approximately 30 minute walk in your neighbourhood. I will happily pick up their poop, and if they need exercise run with them. I will not allow them to interact with other dogs if you are not comfortable with it, and we will only visit dog parks if you allow it!

IN-HOUSE VISITS (DOGS):

Will be approximately an hour long, half of which will likely be spent walking your dog if they're the type who likes long walks. I will make sure your dog has enough food and water, and that they receive as much playtime or cuddles as they're comfortable with. I can also provide oral medication if required.

AVAILABILITY:

Pawshake will often show me as available when I am actually not. I promise it is not personal when I decline your enquiry, there's just only so many bookings I can have at the same time without burning myself out. If you reach out at least a couple weeks in advance, chances are I will most likely be available. I usually do not accept last minute bookings unless very close by to me, or unless you're a repeat client.
